So will Weight employ last season's strategy of leaving Tavares out on the ice the entire OT ?

It would have been nice if Greiss could have stopped a shot, but I still feel they got a point they didn't deserve.

Meh, so would Crappy.

You want to win them all. The hell with that loser point.

If the PP was even average they would have won it outright. They need to get it working.

In a game where the team played like crap, was down by 2 goals with less than 7 minutes left in regulation, you're lucky to get any points.

Yep. I figured the Blues would just go into lockdown mode in the third, but the Isles were able to get through center ice most of the period pretty easily.

The shootout is what it is: a bad way to decide a game...might as well decide it by a contest over who can tie their skates the fastest...but it's never going away, so you take the ones you can get and not dwell too much on the ones you don't.

Is there another major sport where the games are decided on a different basis during the regular season from the way they are decided in the playoffs?

I don't think they played like crap. I thought it was their best defensive game so far. Offensively they had their opportunities which I think they could have buried.
PP is a concern once again.

I guess you take the point and give it a positive spin but it's a loss.

No poop, Sherlock.

About halfway through the 3rd period, I was thinking that I'd gladly take a point of the game, but that it was looking highly unlikely. They got their point, so I'm not complaining.

You mean totally changing the strategy by playing with less players than regulation.

NO

Edit: For me it's a gimmick for the passive hockey fan or new hockey fan

I hope the State gets moving on that RFP for Belmont. The sooner they make a decision, the sooner shovels hit the ground, and hopefully JT is inspired to sign his extension.

Yes, and then going to a shoot-out, an animal that doesn't even exist in the playoffs.

Thanks, 7, my question was rhetorical, but I appreciate your answer anyway.

Hate the NHL OT. Fix it and go back to the 1-8 playoff format. NHL fixes things that are not broken and does not fix the things needed fixing.

Sorry but talking about OT 3v3 or even 4v4 and then the shooout, it twists me the wrong way, sorry if I was yelling but I hate both.
