A major disaster may be threatening a National Hockey League game that is so far still scheduled to take place this evening.
According to a breaking news report from Sportsnet analyst Eric Francis, the game scheduled between the Anaheim Ducks and the visiting Calgary Flames is "up in the air" due the Anaheim Hills Wildfire.
The massive 2000-acre brush fire has devastated the Anaheim area, with several people already losing their homes to the fire, and now according to Francis it seems that the fire may be enough of a safety concern that it could lead the NHL to cancel the game.
No word yet on when the final decision will be made.

I'd say when the smoke blots out the sun it's time to postpone the game, but that's just me...

That's true!..I agree. .but after the preseason games and practice. .these guys need a team meeting! They should be able to defend a little better than they have? - MR.Hunter
It's not even defense, it's handing the puck to the other team while you're skating up ice and it's 3 on 1 or a breakaway, you're not going to stop many of those.
And 95% of them are unforced, just getting the puck and throwing it in the air or winging it without looking.
I told everyone this Sabres team would suck ass. No one believed me.

Somethings obviously not right?..it's franking disappointing to come out of the gate with all the new additions to the front office. the coaching staff and the roster! .. don't start trolling your own team!..they'll be enough of those coming in without any of your help!😨..so maybe yes trades? Different d pairings? Line changes? Those suggestions might and hopefully will work? It's early! ..but this must be (OBVIOUSLY ) figured out quick..or yes falling for dalhin will rear it's ugly head! ..mind you some have snuck that in already! 😠..good luck guys ..and hopefully they'll pull this together quickly. .probably against the leafs!😢

We're good at handing out contracts based off of high potential ceilings that inevitably don't pay off because, well, that's why those ceilings are high. We hand out max money for minimum production level and constantly justify it with excuses.

Agreed about a shakeup. I almost hope botterill has been calling around. If they get hammmered like these last two a couple more times, a recall better be in order.
Id like to see reinhart back with eichel, bump pville and okposo down. Agreed on larsson at 3c.

didnt he lead the nhl in SOG per game last year and have at least a shot on net in all but one?
hate me all you want but this is the truth. sabres rushed their rebuild. they should have been more patient. build with draft choices. not the likes of kane, ror, and others. too early to add guys like that. don t mean to pluck the wings off flies but i posted about this a long time ago.

Dudes, seriously, cut the cord on the Samsonite at center experiment. He's gotta play in Roch if they're leaving him there. ROR and Okposo need to be broken up. Going out west couldn't come at a better time. Pouliot is worse than I remember when he was in the division and I thought he sucked then.

No one hates you! 😆..and your right!..that's why maury is no longer your gm!..let the new guys do their job..it's a bit more franked up then they concidered? Idk..but they'll obviously reevaluate this situation and hopefully it'll be rectified soon!😆..best of luck.. It's disappointing! Trust me I know! What that feels like!😭😭😭 take take guys later🙋
