MY point was, that 2 full years as a GM, answers or not, is not enough time to evaluate him. You give any new coach/GM at least 3 seasons to show improvement. There's no reason, unless you win a cup or hit the playoffs right away (which then your problems are solved), you jump the gun so hard and so often like Uncle Terry has so far.

Listen, I love my teams and my city. I hope Housley and Botteril build a winner. But we just set the rebuild back by another 2 years.

Our window will open in another 2 or 3 years. Soonest.

But like yeah, I’ve watched most of this game and as U said, he just doesn’t look like he cares at all anytime he’s without the puck in the offensive zone. His effort level is abysmal.

It's his skating style. He learned a very unique way of skating and can accelerate probably faster than any player I've ever seen from a stand-still to full-stride.

I just do not get it. Botteril better be on the phone with someone for a goalie trade after this. I was at the Montreal game and I squarely place that loss on Lehner and even with that I figured maybe it was shaking off some rust, but the last two now have shown that neither Lehner or Johnson are capable of being a starter. Granted our defense isn't exactly a brick wall but they aren't 100% to blame for some of these goals. I'd be just fine to give Ullmark a shot at this point and we are only three games in.
