If JB is 1000000% sure Kane is gonna walk he needs trade him for more than a player who may score in the mid-20s and can't play defense in his own end

since we're looking at galchenyuk that way, you could also see it as moving a 40 point guy for a centre who has produced at a .65 ppg clip the last 3 seasons.

Look, my point is that Kane is a known quantity. He can score, he can skate, he can play defense and he's good for 25-ish goals a year (barring injury). If you HAVE to trade him out you don't do it for an unknown like Galchenyuk.
