Me too. People are finally starting to figure out what was obvious to me a long time ago, GMTM did an atrocious job as GM.

We had so many high picks and prospects that were going to be so much fun to watch develop for years, and he gave that plan away for ... what exactly? ROR, Lehner and Kane? Our prospect pool is abysmal, and our leadership is O'Reilly (self-promoter, drunk driver) Kane (woman beater, shows terrible judgement), Eichel (Whines until his coach and GM are fired, throws teammates under the bus, has shown little effort or caring after getting his rich contract).

I'd say we deserve better, but we don't. We keep buying into this crap. Tell me again what an idiot I am for complaining GMTM gave up way too much "stuff" for players he coveted. I heard that for years. Keep wasting your time watching this garbage.

Maybe we can all clap like circus seals when they unveil the next new stupid slogan, One Buffalo, All In bla bla blahhhh.

I never thought the Sabres would be this bad. I figured they would be in the hunt for a wild card spot in the last month of the season but coming up short. After a longer look, this team is what it is. No depth up front. Few NHL caliber D men. Goalies too inconsistent

Top teams in the NHL have done well in the draft lottery and need to draft and develop. Over the last 8-10 years the Sabres have drafted Reinhart, Zadorov, Grigorenko, Girgensons, Armia, Pysyk, Kassian, Myers and Ennis in the 1st round. Not one of these players have performed to their draft number. Not one.

Reinhart was #2 overall and it appears he does not have the requisite NHL speed or strength to excel. (Draisaitl or Nylander would look nice) Girgensens will never be more than a 3/4th liner.

All other players have been traded. The only tangible assets gained are ROR and Kane. ROR is a good player but is not a 7.5M player. Kane is a great talent when focused and motivated. He is likely to have a banner year but it appears he is in line for a big pay hike. Can the Sabres afford 9M a year?

The Sabres paid Eichel 10M despite modest stats and lack of arbitration leverage. Okposo 6M should have never been signed. Pominville have average 14 goals over the past three seasons. 5.6M is too rich for that production. A combined 14M for Moulson, Bogosian and Gorges. All three should be in Rochester. That's just bad management

To compound matters, the Sabres rebuild will always be compared to the Maple Leafs rebuild. It sure does look like the Leafs got it right. They are really good. It's too bad. Sabre fans are real hockey fans. They deserve better

The defense will be better with Beaulieu on the bottom pairing and hopefully Tennyson also gone. A team simply can not win when they are basically passing to the other team and giving up 2on1's all game long. They still don't look good on paper but they are not as bad as they showed yesterday.

How the hell is anyone supposed to improve themselves if they don't get criticized, ever? Sorry. Usually when I'm criticized, I take a step back and at least try to consider the other person may be right, even if it was a horrible thing.

The bolded is an issue no matter the talent level, if the Leafs were playing like this they wouldn't be 3-0 this year, it seems the don't give a crap attitude is seeping back into this team.

The only guy on that list that may get a slight pass is Okposo (given the medical issue last year), but not for much longer.

We need all 20 skaters playing the same game, if guys don't care they should be move, not like this is game 80 of a lost season.

The three bolded I cant agree with you on, but the others....
ROR and KO are both proven to be good hockey players, McCabe has shown flashes as well, its not like we are rolling out the tank roster.

That's the problem. They would then proceed to play meh for a bit, riding the high of playing so well. After that they will implode again and everyone on here will be having the exact same conversation about how some sort of change needing to happen.....except half the season will have gone bye.
