That Devils team is looking decent early on. Hischier is looking great for them and so is adding Johansson.

Still gotta consider Leafs favorites on this one.

Unfortunately.

- Scabeh

well put and yes, 5-1 Leafs is my prediction.

Nico to bang in his first.

avs got berniered and the sabres are a hot mess.

weak devils defense is going to get a reality check.

- Tumbleweed

Bernier was actually excellent in that game.

You're probably right though

Let's just keep Nylander on the wing
- TheMussel

he is taking faceoffs at times.

i am wondering if he's getting a bit of an audition for the role.

sadly, it comes down to organization depth.

there is a bigger drop off in replacing bozak than jvr imo.

- Tumbleweed

I can see your point. Defense seems to be a foreign language to both Bozak and JVR, however, Bozak will never score you 30 goals. Bozak is decent on face-offs, but that is not only an area of great change, the face-off stats will be (frank)ed up this year with the new rule. Toews is pretty good on the draw but was tossed out at least a dozen times in that last game. For me JVR is far more valuable, have seen far too many no-hitters by Bozak.

All that said - we really don't know where the organizational depth is at centre - Hunter and team could be waiting to surprise with another gem from Europe that no one is acting on - just like he did with Zaitsev, Borgman and Rosen. 3 free pick ups - no draft pick, no trade. Thanks Carol.

bernier is a tease.

he'll make a few stellar saves and can fool you into thinking he might be good.

.907 and 4 goals. that's not good.

Looked like he was left out to dry most of the game. Should've been 5 or 6 at least

lol

i think hunter already found the guy. aaltonen seems like a 3C in the making. just needs some time in the ahl.

if they keep enforcing the rules, i think faceoffs have become more important. it's a lot easier to win a draw cleanly and much less of a scrum off the draw.

Ask yourself one question:

If JVR and Bozie both became UFAs on July 1st, 2018, who would get the better contract?

Seriously, fellas - it's not even close.

The fix is in. We got a lot of dirt and photos to blackmail Lou Lams. He never paid taxes on any of those Mercedes from Globe and I'm not even going to mention the scandal with the Devil Dancers. Leafs are throwing it.

it's not debatable who the better player is.

it's also not debatable that we are a lot thinner at C than wing.

I hope Nico scores an OT winner just because a young, skilled forward wearing #13 on the Devils is the least Lamoriello thing of all time.

He just needs a beard.
