All the youth doesn't seem to be hurting other teams. It's just the flyers organization that youth apparently scares. And I can see why with the amazing vets we have - Tfaehner
4 of the starting defensemen have started less than 150 games. They have five forwards that have played less than 150 games. That is more than a third of the roster right there. 9 players total. They have plenty of youth on the team and more coming. |

It's not about having plenty. It's we have nhl ready players in the minors because we have "too much youth" well doesn't seem to be hurting any other nhl team does it ? |

Which team has almost half of the starting roster that's played less than 150 games? I doubt there are more than a few.
Also, Morin is ready. Who else is NHL ready? |

I think it may be possible that AMac gets traded this season. Hextall will work his magic just like he did with Grossman, Vinny, L.Schenn, Pronger ect. Of course there will likely be a % of his cap retained but I think Hexy gets it done. Lehtera will be bought out of his final year like Umberger was |

Lindblom vecchione vorobyev Lyons morin are among the guys that could and probably should be in the nhl. |

I'll give you Morin and Lindbolm the other 3 are borderline and a year in Lehigh won't kill them. |

I feel like you could say that about Lindblom too though. So just Morin. |

It seems odd to me that they couldn't find one game in four to give Morin a game if sending him down after the trip was over was the plan.
I hope the young man takes it the right way and forces them to have to call him up and keep him up. |

It won't kill anybody. Neither would nhl experience over guys who won't be a part of our team on 2 seasons. Especially the goaltending. Throwing out neuvirth Elliot is garbage. Could of went mason and lyons/stolarz and had sandstrom over playing #1 goalie for the phantoms. |

Is what it is with Morin, though many of us don't like it.
I just hope that by next season, they can find a taker for AMac and we can start the season with:
Provorov-Hagg
Morin-Ghost
Sanheim-Gudas
Some generic 7th man
Hopefully Myers will come up at some point next year and play too damned well to send down and they can either trade or sit Gudas to make a spot for him too.

Apparently even Coots can't make Giroux and Jake backcheck effectively

Lindbolm looked ready in preseason and his last SHL season is also a sign to his readiness. Vecch and Voro didn't impress me during the preseason when they played. And Lyon needs a year as the man in Lehigh not a split with Stolie. |

Sandstrom wanted another year in Sweden with his coach there. He wasn't a factor. Lyon is getting a year in Lehigh as the undisputed #1. I see no issue with the goalie plans Hextall is using. |

I'm dead serious, what do you think they would do? As Bill said, AMac isn't a sacred cow, but it would take a hell of a lot to have him sit, at the same time. - jmatchett383
If he played that well, they'd find a spot. Ghost first came up as injury replacement. However he played so well, they found a spot for him. My guess would be that they would rotate Gudas, AMac and maybe Hagg once in a while in and out of the lineup. If after a few more weeks go by and Morin is still playing well, they'd likely trade Gudas. They'd probably prefer to trade AMac, but Gudas would be much easier to move and they wouldn't have to retain salary to do so.

Vecchione played wing during preseason cause his long term future with us is not at center more than likely. I personally would take out Weise and filpula for younger guys. |

In the doomed scenario I'd guess that Amac would be moved. |

I actually think they'd prefer to trade gudas if your only leaving 1 veteran. Gudas takes some bad penalties still and amac clearly has the team's respect to be voted captain. Gudas probably fetches more as well. |

So he is learning a new position? Probably something that should be down in the AHL.
I agree that I would prefer younger players to Weiss and Filppula. I do not think the Flyers have the young players ready to replace them right now. |
