Pominville tapped in a 2 on 1, and scored on a shot all alone in the slot.... Girgensons created both of those goals with his hustle and Eichel made two beautiful passes. Reinhart could have scored those goals lol

I’m not naming names...
you all know who you are! (Hahaha)

But at this point...
there’s just no questioning it anymore

Pommer doesn’t create the opportunities per say, but he is cashing in when he gets the chance

After his past seasons, there were questions whether it was still there.
Glad he got it back here in Buffalo. Seems thats all we have at the moment .

Agreed and thought he would be that guy.

I wasn’t expecting him to be this good
But since the kids weren’t ready,
I had absolutely no issue with Pommer getting a shot on Jack’s wing

Maybe...
but the point is that Pommer is putting away the chances he’s getting from Jack

That’s been an issue up to this point when trying to find him linemates

Pommer is obviously a good fit
and seems to be “keeping up” just fine

I'm really not trying to knock him any more than he already has been but no.

He's cherry-picking but sthat's all he needs to do on Eichel's line.

Well Jack is obviously doing well too
(even if he isn’t “taking games over”)

And Kane has been excellent as well

We are gonna start winning some games if the PP gets going & we stop giving up SH goals

And both of those are reasonable expectations

Not totally
He’s smart enough to get himself in those scoring areas where Jack can get him the puck
Not everyone can do that

Lehner great rebound. He goes to knees, tenses up and hopes puck hits him.

Lehner out of position,
AGAIN

Kinda of flukey the way the puck got kicked around...
but if Lehner isn’t laying on his face, then maybe he’d have a damn chance to stop the freaking puck

I hated that trade & have been trying to give him a chance,
but he drives me nuts when goals like that are scored

Ugh

No, he's trash. I've said it for like 3 or 4 years now. He's possibly the worst puck handler I have ever seen.

Well first,
I disagree with pretty much all of that

Secondly,
It’s widely agreed that he did a good job for us centering line3 last season

The guys isn’t gonna score 20 goals
But “trash” is a ridiculous exaggeration

And once guys like Nylander & Mittlestadt pass him, he’s got potential to be one of the better 4th line players in the league

Some would argue 4th liners are “replaceable”
Others could say having the right guys contributing from that spot can make a real difference

Again...
he’s obviously not Pat Kane
But he’s a decent NHLer, and in the right role has a chance to be very useful
