I just decided, the Sabres are going to start turning it around. We looked better last night despite the loss. After 10 games we'll be talking about the "scare" we had at the start. Sabres 5-1 tomorrow night against the Kings. Start planning the parade. |

You blamed puckhog Kane AND "girl problems" and then tried to say you didn't blame Kane which is what you've been doing for a week.

He had one good year..... People praise him like he was great his whole career. 2010 was it. His stats every other year are average-below average. - CoHo_to_B-Lo

biron and miller have the exact same GAA in their nhl career
2.61 - homiedclown
I've been banging on this drum for a couple years now.
Their stats are indistinguishable, even Biron's best season is = to Miller's except GAA and Biron played on a horrid team that season and pretty much the whole time he was with Buffalo. |

Like your enthusiasm! Nolan scores 1 of the 5 with Jack and Kane each scoring 2.

The Minnesota Wild have confirmed that forwards Charlie Coyle, Nino Niederreiter, Macrus Foligno have all been injured, but even worse for the Wild is the fact that two of the three will require surgery.
From the Minnesota Wild's official website:
Forward Charlie Coyle suffered a right fibula fracture and underwent successful surgery today by Dr. Fernando Peña at TRIA Orthopaedic Center in Bloomington. He is expected to miss six to eight weeks and has been placed on Long Term Injured Reserve (LTIR). By placing Coyle on LTIR, the Wild can recall at least three players from Iowa for Saturday's home opener against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Forward Marcus Foligno suffered a left facial fracture and is expected to miss a minimum of one week. He is scheduled to undergo a procedure by Dr. David Hamlar on Sunday.
Forward Nino Niederreiter suffered a high left ankle sprain and has been placed on Injured Reserve. He is expected to miss a minimum of three weeks. |

I can take this one. He had 89 points in his first 2 full seasons. That's pretty damn good. Is it 2nd overall good? Perhaps not, but we need to get past his draft status, just like we need to get past Lehner's price to acquire.
I know I'm going off on a tangent here, but bear with me.
Let's take Ben Bishop, a goalie I always thought compared to Lehner, a bit scrambly, but I think that has more to do with their sheer size than anything else. And maybe because they both came up through the same Ottawa team. Bishop, the guy that just signed a 6 year deal for just under $5M per. Last year Bishop had a quality start percentage of .514. Lehner's last year? .552. Ok, let's look at 2 years ago. Bishop .617, Lehner .619.
And everyone's favorite cream in their pants guy, Lundqvist, has a .606 career, and everyone's favorite whipping boy, Miller has a .568. Lehner's is .576, Bishop's is .581. Biron's two starting seasons when they actually kept this stat(from 2007 onward) were .559 and .547. You can't count backup goalies because by nature they get easier matchups, they get the Blue Jackets, and the Coyotes, and the Oilers, and Leafs, and the Canes, Sabres, Panthers etc... They don't get the Rangers, Caps, Pens, Kings, Sharks, Blues, Blackhawks etc... |

We don’t, at all, because it matters a ton.
We drafted him to be a core player, he’s not. Therefore we need another core player because of how underwhelming he is.
He had two 40 point years on Eichel’s wing and #1 PP time. 34 year old Pominville looks like a 60 point player on his wing |
