Why is everyone rattled this morning? Wasn't last night a great result? I only watched the second half of the game but I thought they player pretty well. Isn't this what everyone wants? A relatively entertaining game with decent effort but a loss to help the tank? One thing is for sure, if Edler is out for awhile, the tank starts early this year.

I think you might get some push back on the "relatively entertaining game" part of your post.

But not from me...

there was no sleep for the wicked. Hate carried over into the night and went straight on through to this morning. Super refreshing

Maybe we can all put the Hate aside for a while for the betterment of our thread?

But I don't want folks to think any criticism is just blind hate. I think there is still a lot to hate about this version of the canucks.

is it against the CoC, or will it piss off Whitey or Makita if we post things that intentionally trigger circle jerkers or pom pom wavers? Asking for a friend

The Year is 2021, it's summer and in that heat some things start to happen. Dominoes will fall.

Feeling the heat of to many hot peppers GM HS confirms with VP DS and P TL on what to do to free up a lineup spot for the outstanding 1ov pick from the 2021 draft.

The lineup is stacked with 4 consecutive 5ov picks.
Against common thought or rational belief they decide to buy out LE as he hasn't played in the bigs since he only produced 5g 6a in the 17/18 season.
The cost, a six million dollar cap hit, the benefit, perhaps finally the playoffs are in sight. Buzzards like vantel rejoice from his geriatric care facility as nucker101 takes a break from his corner job to post a fancy stat.
One week later after being rejected by the twins, late in the night at a cocktail party, Luongo decides to get his revenge on the Canuck management group.
Retirement... he plots his revenge.

This nightmare scenario with no basis in facts leaves the buzzards in upheaval at the prospect of a 14 million dollar cap recapture penalty.

In anger, the ownership group finally fires the twins.
Vantel party's hard in joy.
Finally the Swedish curse may have been lifted.

TLDR
This fantasy is brought to you by boredom and morning hate. How the twins finally leave and the prospect of a 14 million dollar penalty.

there is having mature, well structured conversations about difference of opinion, and then there is just blind hate and ignorance from people who can't be open enough to even accept that someone COULD have a difference opinion on varying subjects, either to do with the Canucks, or not. What I have read from the last 12 hours is just pure blind ignorance from multiple people on subjects that are completely opinion, not fact, and its just sad really. I am not saying you, nor am I going to name any names, but there are so many people hear with tunnel vision its crazy

I saw that Pratt did a twitter poll this morning.

Should the Canucks trade Jacob Markstrom for Roberto Luongo.

It wasn't a joke

Nope. I don't think the topic de jour has anything to do with the canucks.

Edit: Scene from Wedding Singer. A bit of a classic Adam Sandler moment.

2nd period was horrific but the third they battled back pretty hard actually. Hellbuck made a bunch of solid saves, the game could've gone our way in a heartbeat. I was furious, yet entertained, as I expected to be.

I didn't see the 2nd period....I liked what I saw in the 3rd. All I care about this year is not falling asleep during games like the last two seasons.

Very true but I think for many it comes from years and years of frustration with the team.

I've noticed some of the older guys posting in here seem to be the most critical of the team's mistakes. I'm thinking it's an accumulative effect that bring out anger in some. I know it does for me.

I didn't say anything but I almost lost my head when someone posted that they foresee TG quickly shifting to WD's deployment strategy due to the skill level of this squad. And in my current state of frustration I thought "nothing changes with this damn team".

It probably isn't true but the sense of doom sure hangs over this team.

People can be frustrated, and even voice their frustration, I have no issue with people voicing their opinion, but its how they interact with people who differ in opinion and respond with hostility which has led to so much hate in here.

I am not going to toot my own horn here, but I have disagreed, in opinion, with multiple posters here, and have been able to go back and forth with them on different subjects, but not once have I left the debate with the corresponding person feeling distain for me or vice versa. I have an opinion, and I completely respect that others may have one that differs. I could name 10 posters in here that lack the understanding that its possible to have a difference of opinion. Its quite sad that our thread has come to this.

I think that's a lot less likely to happen with pi$$ants like Gaunce, Skille, Chaput, Megna, Sbiza and Larson not playing regularly. Those guys brought absolutely nothing in terms of entertainment, and scoring really.

Agree to disagree, sbisa at his worst brought all sorts of entertainment to the game, as did Larson. It was puck in our net entertainment but highlight reel plays against none the less.
