Keep going with Burmistrov . He has done more than Loui. Send that 6 mil black hole a message
- VANTEL

LE's off the top line so if he continues to only be okay next stop probably will be the press box.

TG will be in a rotation cycle. It may have to do with strategy and/or those who are not playing hard enough and just okay.

If kids stay hungry and effective TG will turn out vets to wake them up. Hopefully all of that increases values so some futures are acquired by TDL.

When our F vets r the Sedins LE Vanek Gagner DD Sutter we expect more from them. Too many plugs atm not driving the play & the kids get shafted more n more.

Early season games it takes time to get it going.
Finding line combos this year is still tough.
After 8-10 games i think big changes should happen.

Time to start shopping Sven & give Goldy his spot n shot up here
- Nighthawk

Goldy only plays well in the offensive zone. Not a complete player yet.

No kids are being shafted, where is this coming from,,,Horvat,(38) Granlund,(36 1/2) Baertschi,(32 1/2) all have more minutes in the last 2 games than Gagner (27), Sedin(29 1/2) D. Sedin(29 1/2), Vanek (26 1/2)

Vitanen is the only guy to play less than the vets, what a bloody travesty.

Fire Green relies to much on vets when the kids out play them.

Agreed, I know its only 2 games into the season but so far he's shown only how to lose the puck in the offensive zone.

This crowd? I stopped counting after 20 posts(you were the first 5 of 8) about the complaints and started counting pages... about something yet to be determined and never ended up happening.

I'm not against off topic obviously It was the hot switch up I'm laughing about... 0 to 60 in 2.5 seconds..

... but the comments were mostly judgemental, heavily critical, some whiny,,,, and it was *fake news* in the end. There was a couple saying "maybe its this player or maybe its that player" respectfully... there are level headed folk here... that's not love though. Too often lack of hysteria is called "love for" here...

- boonerbuck

I observed it all as well and withheld comment. Player preferences do stoke up passions and you are right level headed reactions are needed.

But surprised you didn't mention the endless tanker debate thrust one week into the season. Interesting comments there. Some observations. Seems using historical evidence misapplies to a now changed reality of the new NHL lotto system.

Teams now are planning to compete as the reward to the top pick or runner up is not a reality. So, if what they have isn't working by the TDL they make changes or cut ties for futures. It's that simple. Whatever happens after is random chance as far as placing.

Drafting is a core need. Quality drafting throughout makes the real difference. Being lucky enough to get a ready made impact player in the top 3 is a bonus. Prospects picked 4th-6th are great talent hopefuls but not the cream that will impact a team any time soon.

Cap realities show that past ELC's the players who produce will get paid doesn't matter if you draft them, trade for them or sign them. So the window is having a good team tanked by a superstar or two on ELC. Why many rebuilds are a cycle of failures when it doesn't happen or work out.

Team plans are more complicated then what I laid out with many variables. It's a fluid situation. Suffice to say, the plan to rebuild or build a winner is within a much wider spectrum of tools then what the limits of tanking offers.

If this elicits the TDLR and emoji responses from troglodytes who have no substance or can't offer a counterpoint. So be it. It's out there right or wrong as a viewpoint to the debate that's been on this thread and last.

Tankers believing its an 82 game effort is absurd.
1st off thinking pros play to lose & happy to do it knowing its what some fans want & empty seats will happen is simply ludicrous.
Lastly what does a full season tank guarantee anyways?
I don't see a McDavid or Matthews in the next draft.
Summary: it sounds great but no plan for how it works or who is on the team that it will help in the long run. Tankers only complain & its never enough. Tankers later on claim to be draftists just kills me.

I'm excited for Boeser to play tonight, but I'm even more excited that he took Burmistrov's spot.

Dahlin looks goooooood, but I agree, right now this team is a bubble playoff team (but maybe we get lucky with the new lottery odds)
