By better as in Granlund is more versatile then Sven well that has proven out. They are only a year apart though on ending contracts. Sven is a player that gets streaky and usually takes a bit into the season for his timing to connect for the chances he gets or generates.

Believe Sven hasn't proven much at the NHL level to cash in on futures at TDL. So would a trade for Athanasiou do it?

Both, including not selling at the TDL? I refuse to buy any argument that suggests Benning shouldn't sell at the TDL unless this team is somehow actually shocking the world at that point. I can't think of many examples of rebuilds going successfully with that approach.

He'll probably sell vets on expiring contracts that are not in plans. Bubble or not he knows he has prospects developing that can come in not just for a look but push the team play.

I have zero interest in this team's success this year, only care about the development of the prospects and younger players. Barely missing the playoffs with a veteran-heavy roster isn't going to accomplish much long term. Benning better be looking to sell at the TDL, not even the apologists will be able to defend him if he doesn't.

I expect a few TDL trades for us or earlier.

I swear every person who's defending this ownership/management group always points to the outliers as reason to continue blindly believing.

i called that on HFboards a few weeks ago and they could not handle it

LE's off the top line so if he continues to only be okay next stop probably will be the press box.

TG will be in a rotation cycle. It may have to do with strategy and/or those who are not playing hard enough and just okay.

If kids stay hungry and effective TG will turn out vets to wake them up. Hopefully all of that increases values so some futures are acquired by TDL.

Granlund looks like he gained an extra step over the summer, if Travis green didn't roll all 4 lines pretty evenly, I would hate seeing him play 4th line.
