I'm sure there was probably a little more too it. Oh well, he's playing. Getting top minutes and his ELC slides.
And his contract doesn't count. - manvanfan
Fo Sho, he's clearly a talented kid and hopefully they can convince him to give NA a shot soon. |

His contract doesnt count to the 50 limit, but pretty sure it doesnt slide because of where he played last season
(CapFriendly also doesnt show it as a sliding one) |

What does slide mean if it doesn't mean it doesn't count as one of the 50? RFA years? |

I like the fact the club has kept Pouliot out of the limelight, hopefully he draws in next game if Edler can't go. - VanHockeyGuy
Last couple of times I seen Pulliot he was nothing special. He blended in to a group that did not look good |

You raise a good question, i'm not sure about the answer. They don't have any of the new prospects showing a entry level slide yet. I believe as long as they don't play the 9 games it slides. |

Agree to disagree. Last year was his best for us. He will be solid for them, big mistake by JB not to get something for him. - neem55
It doesn't work that way. It's not a mistake unless you didn't try to get something for him. Did he try? We don't know.

Forsling is Pullout 2.0 - Pres.cup
Clendening 24 years old 82 games 22 points.
Forsling 21 years old 43 games 9 points.
Derrick Pouliot 23 years old 67 games 14 points.
Almost the same pace. All of them. Clendening leading over a 82 games. |

I guess. My point is, they had options and ultimately decided to let them take him. This whole story that he didn't have value is horsepoop.

Nah, I don't think it works that way either, a GM is responsible for getting value for his players that will or might not be returning. If he didn't try it doesn't look good and if he tried and failed, still doesn't look good. |

TG & JB are high on him. Let's see how it works out for them. I'm eager to see his supposed offensive skills. |

I know I'm one of the very few who gave Sbisa any credit, so I'm not surprised by the general reaction. People give me poop for "blind hatred" of Dorsett, statistically Dorsett is garbage declining and Sbisa has only improved the last three years. But hey, who needs facts when you've got opinions and "eye tests" (which, by the way, are based purely on the feelings you all claim to not have and players should not have ) - neem55
You are right... after being separated from Bieksa and other defensive nightmares, he only improved... paired with Bieksa was the lowest point... last season he played decent imo... steadily getting better... he just can't be paired with a cluster fuc-ker like Bieksa/Hutton/Weber. Much like those guys, he needs a little insulation himself.
I knew it would be one of the better grabs for the Knights out of the draft. No pressure on Sbisa either.... if the team finishes out of the bottom 5, it will be a success. His final year on that contract will probably be seen as value by VGK with the workload they will dump on him. None of this means Sbisa is a go to D man but it couldn't have worked out better for him that's for sure. I'm sure VGK will be happy with this freebee...

Agreed. I think there's a good chance he gets flipped at the TDL, once that draft pick comes in people will change their tune. |
