I had playing d down to a fine art, just interfering just enough to not get a penalty, give a little tug etc to get an edge, when the rules changed the refs were all over me

Anyway, would have preferred JV stay in for Flames game. Gagner who has played soft could have drawn out and replaced by Burmi on Bo's PP and C with two way game. But vet code being what it is in the NHL no team is immune to it.

Not sure if JV minutes or jump was reason for a tad trailoff in games. Suppose the scratch will make him more focused and hungry next time he draws in. Rookie code being what it is in the NHL.
