Ryan Hartman and Anthony Mantha. Both first round picks from the year before. JV share's similar traits to both.

Mantha used his size to outscore other junior players but had flaws in his game. JV was the same he used his size and speed to score.

Hartman and JV about the same size and speed. JV probably scored more goals but similar physical style.

Both Mantha and Hartman played two 60 games seasons in the AHL.

Mantha now has 46 points in 75 games in the NHL

Hartman has 39 points in 89 games in the NHL

Both also now have 7 points in 5 games in their second NHL seasons.

It also shows that JV probably should have been taken somewhere around the end of the first round.

Edler has had two decent season here and has basically been brutal for the rest. Yes, he eats minutes but that's all does. Having him in the lineup does not get us from bottom 5 to finishing 16th to 25th. It literally makes no difference if he is healthy or not. It's just comical that he is out already.
