I'm okay with him benching Bo on the PP if he's not doing much. But the Sedins were atrocious on the PP last game and yet they're still PP1. Bo isn't a rookie either and lead the team in scoring last year.
I don't like the double standard here
Thanks Dollars2Donuts! - Nucker101
If the coach took Sedins off the powerplay and put Horvat with Vanek and Gagner it would be to effective, piss off the Sedins and disrupt team tank |

I wanted to chirp canucks1986 when i was 10 to 0 but couldn't find out who he was - Pres.cup
you're hilarious are you following Lastplace Lefty Logic(LLL) now...yeah one stat of a hit by Vantel's active player against my inactive roster is how that works...but hey forget the substance or reality like LLL on rebuilds...its all simple math... |

You realize that about 80% of the teams in the NHL do this right? The pass is not the problem, its the speed at which its executed - or NOT executed. The defender that picks up the pass is supposed to be at full speed in order to barrel into the the O-zone, unfortunately every defender we have is slow as sh&t and therefore it doesn't work. Its f-ing embarrassing. - Brooks_Light
Only Hutton D is capable IMO & the rest nah |

Right on. Guess we won't see a Gaudette signing in the next little while. Lind is having a hell of a year to start but he sustained a pretty bad hit to the head last game. Wouldn't be surprised if he missed some time (even though he returned) - Codes1087
Gaudette cannot sign & lose his NCAA eligibility. |

Wanting to be entertained while losing is akin to wanting your cake and eating it too.
And I agree, the people who want to play the kids for entertainment sake while we tank may be negatively impacting their development... and that'd just be ass backwards in the long term. - NewYorkNuck

Gaudette is signing like BB and you will see him in Canuck colors before end of season. |

With how bad our team is, i think the best PP1 we could muster would be
Boeser-Horvat-Granlund-Gagner-Hutton(Pouliot or Stetcher could be tried here as well to see if they click)
I could even argue trying JV in place of Gagner if he gets injured or if it goes stale as he has one hell of a shot.

For this season only instead of sign to play on Comets. JB knew they would have have a logjam on the farm and were good with him developing in NCAA just like EP in Europe. Would be shocked if they weren't signed and showcased by end of season. |

Nothing to do with a logjam in Utica.
Buys us 1 more year of an ELC & he keeps developing in a bigger role in the NCAA.
As for EP bigger ice & needs to gain weight & strength & extend his ELC also.
Rather not see them signed to play in Utica. Leave them where they r instead. |

One thing we have never experienced with so many prospects is how it can effect our 50 contract limit. Something that we can look at as for how they all stack up being spaced out. I realize some r sliding atm but I have not seen an article where it lays it all out for us. Anyone seen such an article? Thx |

Guadette is burning that ELC year like BB for staying in NCAA this season. No way they let him go back for a fourth year and risk losing him as a FA. It's just the price to pay for developing without getting paid.
There are players who weigh less then EP playing well in the NHL. He's also got a better wing span then them. All young players need to get stronger. Doesn't preclude the talented ones from playing in the NHL. If they can show an impact to earn a role on their NHL team.
Just follow EP development after a season playing with men in top European league. If it's same as Guadette they will bring him in as well for a look. We'll see who is ready then.
