That's a decent top 6. However, I feel badly for Girgs - he has been playing very well. Would rather have him to #3 C with Bailey. Bring up somebody fast from Rochester to fill out LW #3 and have Larsson centre #4 with Nolan and one of wicked due of Pouliot/Moulson .

Also, why is Tennyson on PP unit #2? He sucks.

The problem with Gorges was Disco Sucks didn’t understand that he was a 5/6 Dman at this stage of his career..not a 2. Once he was pushed down he is quite serviceable.

I would like to see Antipin rather than Tennyson. Tennyson should be in the A not up here. Antipin needs to show what he’s got so Sabres can make a decision on him.

Love having Sam with ROR and Okposo, I do think that is his best spot. He’s fine with Jack, but I do like Pommer there better, he just knows where to go to put Jack’s deft passes away...and with Kane crashing the Net he is sure to poke some more in.

I havent been able to watch, so excuse my ignorance here, but are we sure this isnt a coincidence? Isn't it possible that the D as a whole are grasping the system better, or is he making a legitimate difference?

He has terrible numbers in terms of shots through 3 games. 3rd worst on the team

Let’s hope lip eater lifts the 4th line and they all go hard.

girgens gets an assist while being on the bench for the entire play leading up to a goal

Seems to me that Pouliot was signed to keep one of the kids in Rochester who otherwise would’ve made the roster

I expect the plan was likely to trade him at the deadline, then bring up a youngster

Just don’t know if we can wait that long now

At some point, we just gotta stick him in the press box & bring up Baptiste, Rodrigues, Nylander, etc

Pouliot just looks mediocre & isn’t really providing anything to help this team
Moulson needs to at least start chipping in on PP2, or he should be gone too

Josefson & Nolan have been fine...
but if Griffin is gonna stay, then I think he needs to be on the 4th line with those two

If they’re just giving him the night off, then I’d expect we see Girgs moving back up when Josefson is back to Center line4

Pouliot looks like crap out there.

I swear this team has more “?” Players than bonifide ones, and he is one of them to be sure. Too bad Baptiste and Bailey didn’t grab managements attention during camp..it was their golden opportunity.

Not a bad way to start . Limited ice time and can be moved up and replace someone that is getting gased and outplayed .

It is a small sample size, so u may be right in that it isn’t necessarily Gorges

BUT
Corsi is a terrible way to judge effectiveness & production
Always has been
It’s just a bigger sample size of a stat like +/- which is FLAWED

The above was spoken on WGR by an analytics expert they had on a week or so ago
