Hart(WHL) & Frost(OHL) are on the Team Canada CHL Super series rosters so far. I'd expect Laberge and Rubstov are named to their respective countries from the QMJHL. |

The Flyers struggled against their forecheck pressure for most of the game, and a number of defenseman on the team has some issues. Florida throws a bunch of shots on net but the Flyers did a good job limiting the quality of their chances. Flyers made the most out of theirs. - MJL
Florida is a perimeter team at least for now. Even when the score was pretty close, I wasn't the least bit concerned after the first 10 minutes. The Flyers are a good team playing good hockey right now. |

Hagg's been fine. I wish, as a Dman, the worst game I played I had a point and was a +3. The truth is Florida came to play last night and had an edge that didn't show up on the scoreboard through ten minutes. After that, it was all Flyers really. Florida looks like a decent team but the Flyers just beat them into the ice. - fls13
Everybody talks about how Hagg makes the little plays that go unnoticed. I saw at least two of those last night. One was when the puck was sitting in the paint, and he pushed Neuvy's pads closed to get the freeze. Definitely saved a goal. Another was on the PK when he was the only guy low defending two open men and one more with the puck. His position was perfect, and he broke up the pass skillfully, leading to a clear. Dangerous situation that he made look routine. I've been impressed with Hagg. He's made some small mistakes, but his attentiveness to the little details are what will make him a great defender. |

I remember the PK play you mention. Hagg is fun to watch. I think he's capable of making plays you do notice and we'll see more of that as time goes on. He's a beast in board battles I've noticed. |

So if Simmonds can't go tomorrow, who is taking his spot on PP1?
I'd vote Patrick but think it could be Weise. |

Having a fourth line that can really do some damage and make the other team work is such an advantage to the other lines. |

They are fun to watch.
Random note: they are being fed offensive zone starts (65%). Hagg and Ghost are around 58% |

Yeah but those playoffs with Leino on the line with Briere and Hartnell...that was fun to watch.

Any updates on Wayne Train?
Sort of hoping Neuvy gets the start tomorrow.
Im also sort of hoping we all keep our heads when the team hits the multiple inevitable downspots in the season. |

Some of us will. Some of us will hit the panic button, and some of us will call for heads to roll, captains to be stripped of C's, draft picks to be traded, kids to be called up, and vets to be sent out. |

Hextall said it's not believed to be serious and he will update us tomorrow. That sounds like a day to day injury maybe a groin pull? Could see him sitting tomorrow and maybe back Saturday? From the info we have now at least. |

There was a nice interview with Sanheim CourierPost.
Love the kids attitude despite sitting.
Like that he sees it as a learning experience to become an everyday player. |

If we eliminated every defenseman who periodically had someone go around him or get him to turn a puck over, and demanded 25 flawless shifts per game, we'd basically eliminate every defenseman who has ever played in the NHL. |

Hi Bill. Speaking of getting burned, that Ekholm play last week where he froze Giroux like a statue and NSH scored. I watched Ekholm after that and he did the same thing to two other Flyers (those plays didn't end up in the back of the net), just froze them dead in their tracks and went around them. I honestly have never seen anybody do that three times in one game. Have you heard any talk of this or noticed it yourself? |

Kimmo Timonen, who is one of my favorite Flyers ever and I think has already gone down as one of the best defensemen to ever play for the franchise, got walked by Kane on the eventual SCF game winner. |

Not so much "good boy" but like a pro not a little boy.
He is a kid being asked stupid questions.
Part of being a pro is also handling media and answering some of the dumbest questions ad nausea.
Good that he learns this process now, he will be answering the same dumb questions for years to come.
