You just don’t get it, peasant
- rangerdanger94

That's in fact what it is actually. It's just a stomach filled with fat.

So the lower body creates turnovers in the hands?

IDK, just giving out what I read.

Not a fan. It's a goose stomach filled with fat. Plus it's so expensive.

Liver, but it is absolutely delicious. They force feed the geese or ducks by shoving a tube down their throat and over-feeding them on grain (rice or corn). This makes their liver engorged a few times the normal size.

Not to go off on a hunting tangent, but a lot of people say that the ducks in Arkansas eat so much rice that their livers are naturally engorged and you can pretty much make foie gras from them, minus all the torture. I was supposed to go down there for a few days of guided duck hunts this fall, but the trip got switched to end of January and we are going for snow geese. No license necessary and there are no limits.

I know. Seems like anytime someone we expect to play good doesn't, the excuses come out.

That's also an issue. But it's the french, so they are some of the worst people around.

His skating has been fine. Its the turnovers where he sucks. Must be a lower body injury.

I haven't hunted anything other than waterfowl, but I can't recommend it enough. It's not for everyone, but I'm obsessed. Waterfowl is especially fun because it's more social than, say, deer hunting. You can be in a boat/blind with a few guys shooting the poop when there are no birds. Deer hunting you're just sitting up in a tree stand along twiddling your thumbs hoping some dumbass buck wanders by. Not that that's bad, but I like having some people to talk to.

Never had it, can’t stand caviar, don’t get the big deal about saffron or truffles, and expensive champagne and cognac do nothing for me. I’m a cheap date until it comes to steak, and even then I’d rather some bourbon with it than an expensive wine.

He got a mosquito bite on his sack and couldn't reach it and it was driving him crazy, I felt bad so I used a wooden salad fork to scratch it for him.

Truffles I like. I went to a restaurant where they had popcorn at the bar made with truffle butter. It was good. Also like truffles shaved on mac and cheese, would recommend. Agree with the rest of what you said though.

It's good but it's not like anything that's going to ever blow you away. Just a different appetizer. I subscribe, mostly, to the "I'll try anything once" mind-set...within reason. I recommend trying it if you're ever out to a nice meal and want a change of pace. I don't think it has a crazy strong taste so even if you don't like it you wouldn't be gagging at the table.
