Yeah because he would have got 5+ games today
- A_SteamingLombardi

They would've gave him 10 for that one, Cherry called it "the mother of all elbows" on Rock em Sock em

You never want to say that someone “deserves” something like that, but Bure sure put up with a lot.

He was born in Belleville Ontario to a Canadian father and an American mother, Jesus, get your facts straight lol
- LeftCoaster

Facts smacks... he was still a dual citizen. Still he's considered the greatest American player. Not Canadian.

Edit: thanks lefty

I shouldn't have winged the nationality thing, but he is the greatest American player.

I said this the moment they signed Price, Habs are done. The Price contract is the worst in 10 years

Are we talking Brett Hull?

Cut by team Canada so he played for the US, can you blame him?

Two bodies go down and that turns just ugly If it wasn't bad enough in the first place.

If you aint first, your last. Get Dahlin. him and Bo could be serious building blocks and the Sisters will be off your cap shortly! Tendy looks great.

Can't blame him. Dumb decision to cut him, once he donned the star's and strips he became the greatest American player and one of the best, if not the best goal scorers of all time.

I remember it gathered a lot of attention since we'd never seen that from Bure before.

Bure had had enough of Churla being on top of him. I gotta say it changed the series. Pretty smooth from there on it seemed.

Early morning thoughts .

I like Burmistrov so far and he seems to fit in , but is he a player you trade at the deadline or seeing he is still young do you extend him 2 years?

I think his competition would be Gaudette and Gaunce .

I think it depends on the return if any? If there are no offers then extend him 2 yrs @1 mil.

Ya know the pairing of Stecher and MDZ played really well last night.

The D was pretty soft last night.

Hutton still brings down anyone he plays with. Tanev is the only player that can keep himself a float playing with Hutton.

Dump at deadline if you can. Saying that, unless Burm does something spectacular over the next 50+ games his value is practically nil.

If you can get a 3rd or 4th for him at the TDL, I would absolutely take it.

Interesting article:

I think it goes from worst to best. I don't agree with all of it but interesting how they determine if a contract is bad or good.

The D is getting interesting . As much as I/we have not been a fan of Edler he probably has about 5 reliable years left . That is a player who can keep things close. He has this year and next and will probably be extended 4 years.

Tanev is also solid but he might be used to pull in a top winger/ prospect. Benning says the right things and I can only see him being moved in a knock your socks off trade.

Stecher I like and I have a feeling I will be saying the same about Chatfield soon.

Pouliot so far looks decent and is very young.

Hot n Cold Canucks have not been bad this year.

If Edler can ever stay healthy. IF!
I think the World championships showed what Edler is capable of and that is a steady 2nd pairing D man. Not a 1st pairing.
Depending on how the draft goes this year. I could see a 2 year Dan Hamhuis type deal for Edler.

Tanev I would keep for as long as possible.

I haven't seen enough from Pouliot to be anything but a 7th D.

Honest question,

How do you guys feel about the Canucks so far? playing .500 is probably better than what you guys expected but are you seeing that as a good thing or an ultimately self-defeating thing.

Boeser playing at a ppg pace has to be positive, but did you think maybe Horvat would look better? (I have him in a pool)
