Bailey is a lot of what was missing in the first 7 games. Plus the way he has succeeded allows Housely to spread the talent out deeper throughout the top 9.
It makes me wonder if bringing up Guhle might have the same impact on the D. - Der Kaiser
Agreed on Guhle.
I think the defense will get slightly better as they all get used to playing together, but they still need a solid player back there and to get Tennyson out.

Nice win last night, how ya'll feeling about Mccoy today? Think he's due for a big game? - Pet.m.d.
I'm getting my hopes up. All Day shredded the Bucs D last week and hoping Mickey D learned a thing or 2 from Big Red about coming out of the bye week. Get it crankin. Hut hut Ohhhhhhhhhhhh, let's go Beeeeeeeeels

You simply cannot enjoy a win, you’re literally the worst.
There is a lot that needs to be fix for the Sabres. They cannot come out flat every game and start playing in the 3rd.
Lehner let in one soft ish goal. He needs to learn how to seal the post. The other 3 he had no chance. He did stop 2 breakaways though.
The defense needs to learn how to clear the front of the net, centers too (Eichel).
Pouliot played his best game as a Sabre. Bailey’s speed and forechecking is what the Sabres need but he needs to work on his passing a bit (I’ll take it).
ROR played like we knew he could all along.
Chara needs to retire, I’ve never seen him lose a physical battle like he did with Risto last night. Risto played well and if that’s the Scandella we get all year long that’s a steal no matter what Marcus and Ennis do in Minnesota.
Okposo with Reinhart is interesting and I can’t believe I’m saying this but Moulson didn’t look awful last night with them.
Nolan’s size is great and all but he had a few chances at a 3 on 2 where he just gave the puck away.
Botterill is going to have to get creative if they want to keep Kane.
This is a win that if they can build upon could be the turning point in the season. However they need to start stacking wins. Otherwise it’s just something like broads said “his sanity needed it”. My liver needed it as well.
Bills 23 Bucs 14 McCoy goes for 130 and a pair of TDs. Winston shouldn’t play. Hughes will be in his face all game long and he will be picked off twice.

I wonder if Pegula asked JB to claim Nolan as a favor for Teddy being the scapegoat here.
Nolan is awful every time the puck is on his stick. He’s an AHL’er

He seems to carry it into the OZone all by himself, and when the defender challenged he lacks the skill to dangle around him, and the skill to make a pass to any of his teammates. Although it isn’t as though his line mates have made themselves terrifically available to receive any such pass.

Wow, three guy with 11 points in 9 games. Also great to see.
But again, we need to stop this "coast for 55 minutes, then play" style.
Happy about the win but this team is awful, still. Aside from that first game against what we now know is the worst team in the league, we haven't looked good.
ROR has always been streaky like this. He takes about 5 or 6 games off, then plays like a madman for a few before doing the cycle again.
