We need all of the defensive backs we can get for Oakland...

They’re not going to run the ball much.

- Stripes77

The one thing that gives me hope is that McDermott’s defense is always good for safeties. He had journeyman in Carolina a lot of the times and they always caused a ton of turnovers.

I remember Kurt Coleman was an average player in Philly and went to Carolina and had 11 picks in 2 years under McDermott

To be fair when the Bills had Watkins McCoy and Clay going at the same time Tyrod’s record and his stats were much better.

All I know is Tyrod is 4-2 this year with basically a non existant running game.

I want better, but there is worse out there.

- Stripes77

Tyrod’s stats might have been better...
but they weren’t “good”
He’s just an ok qb who sometimes has good games

He had a good game today
And yeah, he drove us down to tie the game...
but that’s only the 3rd time in 19 tries when we’ve had the chance to tie/win

Not trying to bag on him
He just isn’t a “franchise” QB

Dude, calm down. I never said he was, I said you never know.
- sbroads24

Of course u never know
I just wouldn’t even bring Petersen up as a potential future guy before he starts showing something
Ppl act like he looked good in preseason,
but he really didn’t

what a fun game to be at...and having them win under glorious weather conditions was even better...

good to see the offense bail out the defense for a change...I turned to my son a couple of times and asked, "who are these guys?" referring to deonte Thompson and later, Taiwan jones...you could throw in logan Thomas and matt Milano into a group of no-names who really came through

Blocked field goal, interception called back for a bogus roughing the passer.

New England isn’t great anymore, but they still get all the breaks

Forgot who I had this discussion with here, but this is what Matt Ryan has been for a majority of his career. Last year was a mirage

Matt Milano! He might be an upgrade over Humber and Humber was all right. This weekend I'm making a visit. My bro said he can only afford one and I gotta choose between Sabres/Sharks or Bills/Raiders. This is a major dilemma for me.

I'm 1.5 points from being undefeated in HBSL. 548-515 and I still have 2 games tomorrow, so unless Mantha and Zetterberg get -33.5 I win.

I would love a QB that averages 4,200 yards 27 TDs and 13 INTs. He was phenomenal last year, but he puts up the stats year after year. He's not a "winner", but he'd be a massive leap forward from what we've had for 20 years.

Pach, you and your son are "lucky charms" for the Bills. Maybe you should take your boy to the next 30 or so Sabre home games.

The game on TV looked awesome. Glad to hear that you had a good day with your kid and saw the Bills win in person.

I don’t think that was the argument though.

It was that he was better than the other QB’s in his division.

I’d of course take him but he’s always been closer to the 15th best QB rather than top 5

I think our defense is legit.

Winston torched us, but the bend-don't-break defense we have now is much better than anything since Wade Phillips was our coach.

Let's be real, our defense and out kicker have won every game this season. We're causing turnovers at crucial times. Stephen Hauschka is (frank)ing money from 50+. 12 straight, ties an NFL record.

I cannot wait for you to lose our bet. A full year of getting to ban you every time you say something negative...

You simply cannot enjoy a win, you’re literally the worst.

There is a lot that needs to be fix for the Sabres. They cannot come out flat every game and start playing in the 3rd.

Lehner let in one soft ish goal. He needs to learn how to seal the post. The other 3 he had no chance. He did stop 2 breakaways though.

The defense needs to learn how to clear the front of the net, centers too (Eichel).

Pouliot played his best game as a Sabre. Bailey’s speed and forechecking is what the Sabres need but he needs to work on his passing a bit (I’ll take it).

ROR played like we knew he could all along.

Chara needs to retire, I’ve never seen him lose a physical battle like he did with Risto last night. Risto played well and if that’s the Scandella we get all year long that’s a steal no matter what Marcus and Ennis do in Minnesota.

Okposo with Reinhart is interesting and I can’t believe I’m saying this but Moulson didn’t look awful last night with them.

Nolan’s size is great and all but he had a few chances at a 3 on 2 where he just gave the puck away.

Botterill is going to have to get creative if they want to keep Kane.

This is a win that if they can build upon could be the turning point in the season. However they need to start stacking wins. Otherwise it’s just something like broads said “his sanity needed it”. My liver needed it as well.

Bills 23 Bucs 14 McCoy goes for 130 and a pair of TDs. Winston shouldn’t play. Hughes will be in his face all game long and he will be picked off twice.

Good luck with that.

"I didn't watch."

"It was a fluke."

"Rinse and repeat."

Having said all that, until they win their 9th game I'm still saying 8-8.

I think that’s kind of a myth
Didn’t they say that the Pats have the most offensive interference calls against them?

And that roughing the passer was a helmet to helmet hit
It was the correct call

I kind of agree
Until the offense is more consistent anyways
Gonna be tough to keep winning games on the defenses back

Having the tie breaker over Denver is big though
If we can beat the Raiders this week,
that’s also huge
If they win,
Oakland is only a half game behind us & would have the tie break advantage
Chargers coming on,
so that game could be important too

Playoffs?
Maybe...

But that’s as far as I’ll go at the moment
Great to see us pull out the win today

And that Sabres comeback was pretty freaking awesome too!
