Aunt Helen is back!! ☘️

The Horvat group is again 70 people strong tonight!

Apparently those were the travelling Horvats that filled the Lil Caesars arena last night.

That was one of the smallest crowds eva

I was considering going yesterday, so I checked ticketmaster and mostly all the seats were gone, other than a few singles. Then went to Stubhub and there were thousands of available tickets.

Made Quebec into an instant contender so win/win overall (too bad the Big E had his career cut short though). The only trade that comes close is the massive Gilmour to Toronto deal which sunk the Flamers for the better part of a decade
- Robio

ya that trade was 1992. it wasnt long after that (1995) quebec moved to colorado with these assets they acquired from that trade (plus Roy) and won the cup that same season (1996).

Isn’t Stubhub a re-seller? I don’t think they own any tickets, just take a cut of any sale they make. If tickets don’t sell, it’s the season ticket holder who looses still.

I think they buy a poopload, but also work as you suggest as sort of a moderator

I don't think that's how it works - I understood that StubHub buys them from Ticketmaster, then resells them at a jacked up price, so technically originals are sold, resells are not, that's how they claim it's a sell out.

As for season ticket holders, they can resell their seats first, about a month before regular tickets go on sale, the exact same way, thru StubHub.

It really benefited both franchises but the spinoffs from the players Quebec/Colorado acquired made them a contender for years.

The Nordiques are one of the reasons they started to look at the draft and make it more fair. They picked first overall three times in a row, in good draft years, which set them up for years.

Who would your preferred first round opponent be? Will Green be a good playoff coach? These are the questions that need answering ASAP

I don't know, they didn't change it until what 4 years ago? I agree they decided to make it more fair, but Chicago, Edmonton and Pittsburgh both had multiple top picks before they decided to change it. I think they just saw modern teams like Leaves, Edmonton and Buffalo clearly tanking and decided to put a stop to it (or at least a deterrent). Tanking for Quebec did result in them selling the franchise after all, despite it completely changing their roster for the better.

It's not the same team, but it's still a bad team. With much worse goaltending. I'm glad you're excited, I'm loving watch JV, Bo and Boeser making progress but I have no illusions about how good this team is. Dorsett is out top scorer, you think that is going to last 82 games

I don’t think so but who knows for sure. The long and short of this says buyers pay 10% fee and sellers pay 15% fee. So on a $100 face value ticket the buyer pays $110 and the seller receives $85. https://blog.tickpick.com...tubhub-buyer-seller-fees/

You might wanna research that, they changed it in 1995 introducing the draft lottery.
