Who would your preferred first round opponent be? Will Green be a good playoff coach? These are the questions that need answering ASAP - CanuckDon
Green is just a good regular season coach. We need to fire him asap and bring in sutter for the playoffs. |

You might wanna research that, they changed it in 1995 introducing the draft lottery. - LeftCoaster
Right, the move up four spots lottery. You're right, it's just that did nothing to actually stop or deter teams from tanking. But you're right, they made changes. |

Yup, Dorsett hater you are. - Makita
Unabashed. I will say, I'm amazed as anyone he's scored as much as he has. Is it sustainable? We'll see. Is he still coughing the puck up? God yes! You can't overlook how bad someone is for your team having the puck because they score, otherwise Yakapov would have had 20 minutes a night on every team. |

But this is many people's rationale for letting the kids play! Live with their mistakes, they say, they will eventually learn... |

So, is that a definite no on sucking? Maybe time to trade for some vets that can get you into playoffs. |

Get us into the playoffs? We're already there baby! locked in the first round against Vegas!
(Had to look at the standings to see that, and noticed Montreal 1-6 with a -20 goal differential so far ) |

I mean, I agree with you and ultimately have always said I think kids should develop in the A or get very limited icetime if they are making mistakes. Ie/ my position on Hutton. Not able to perform, needs limited/bottom icetime IMO |

Turns out gutting your defence and letting Markov(highly productive) walk for nothing is a bad idea. Who knew? (I predicted MTL not making the playoffs, bet my buddy 100 bucks they wont. He currently wont return my texts) |

Neems seems so excited he's getting his facts wrong in so many things lol.
On another note, there is a different trend this season. The team didn't luck out 4 wins in a row where they never lead. Then dived into reality of lack of depth, stubborn coaching, and piled on a a streak of losses.
It's a team with new players, new roles and new coaching philosophies. The team is starting to gel and road trips tend to do that. The early injuries to key players have come but it hasn't sunk them so far. The younger players are stepping up and carrying a bigger load.
These are the new intangibles. It's a step in the right direction. That's all you want for a team expected to be in the bottom third of the league. |

I liked your reference to Yakupov. His first few seasons are how I feel Goldobin would look if he was kept at the NHL level. I am glad JB sent JV down last year and sent Goldobin back this year, the AHL is a good place to learn |
