I meant to do a 2nd, but typed 1st by accident so i changed it. our 1st is worth more than reinhart atm. - Retinalz
I'm not down with trading anymore picks. Like to see them work with what they got and hopefully they can add more at the TDL. |

Canucks need to get to get to the cap ceiling in-order to take advantage of cap relief to its fullest. Any player on the same salary would of worked. From what I understand it is just a paper transaction and he likely won't make it to van. - belcherbd
Okay thanks I understand that part now.
I don't understand why the team needs to get up to the cap ceiling to put and injured player on LTIR . Injured is injured , one would think |

So I have been searching for Canucks prospect Lockhart, as I had never heard of him, so I come to the conclusion that you guys mean William Lockwood - Reubenkincade

It allows the team to exceed cap down the road, but you need to use up cap space, in order to do this. With them being this close to the cap it is a good move.
Bennington may not be the sharpest tool in the shed but he is definitely getting better. |

I think he is trying to say that Dahlen is comparable to McBaby, Goldobin to Bure, Demko to Sawchuk, Rodin to Bossy, Stecher to Bourke and Hutton to Orr. So no need to worry the cup is Vancouvers in 2 years. - Makita
Interesting retort. Bizarre. But not a surprise. |

Yup, some of the asset mgmt issues seem to be sorted out.
The Gadjovich contact was another one that seemed odd at first but means that his contract will slide next year playing I the AHL.

I didnt even think of that, but very savvy move. Glad to see them thinking ahead to lock up control of prospects for longer |

They won’t be contending for a bubble spot because problems with special teams in the long run? - 1970vintage
Here's a breakdown. In the modern NHL 5x5 play gets a team so far. In the highly competative hard to score NHL a successful power play elevates a teams ability to win. More wins on aggregate would raise this teams standing. Canucks are a bottom third dweller and the next rung is bubble status. This is comprised of mid-level teams contending for a play off spot. The next rung are teams who are Cup contenders.
