Bang and crash and control the puck and cycle game, vs offense in spades and speed. Toronto ground through it, kept their feet moving and Quick was just terrible between the pipes tonight really. It was a bad game by him. Could have gone either way but Leafs made it count when they needed to most and pull off a great win.
Huge for beating the Kings who are always a tough team.
That said if they screw the pooch when I am there live vs Carolina I am gonna be so pissed!
And dammit LA Kings need more coverage and more blogs! Too damn good so far to not have anything up. |

(frank)ed yeahs alright..
coulda just let Quick play concussed instead of getting him checked, those Richards.
Leafs had a few more pp's but the calls were justified.
Leafs are the better team, deal with it. |

Sorry guys and gals but you were all blinded by the light on that one. Dont get me wrong its great the children got the money but once again youve all been fooled by mr subban. First off did you notice how much media coverage it got? It was made into a ceremony with a giant cheque to display to the world how great I am and he made sure everyone knew it was happening. A publicity stunt for more camera time. And why you say would he give away that kindoff cash? Well the things most dont know is pk wanted desperatly to be captain of the habs but he knew there was some concerns from management so two days before there going to name a captain he goes out and does this to push there hand. Well it failed badly and patches got named captain instead and he deserved it. I can remember pks interview after patches got the C and he was not a happy camper. Two things to think about is from the donation hes getting a lot of that back on taxes. And if he becomes a montreal captain he becomes immortalized which is what pk is all about "me". Not to mention he quickly makes the 5-10 million back in endorsements if he's captain.
To further prove this point your teammates get to nominate the player on the team that gives the most contribution to the community for the king clancy award. Pk once again after donating 10 million wasnt even the guy nominated by his own team as they all know the real subban and his true motives and persona. Once again pk thought he was a shoe in to win this award because he paid cash for it but thats not they way it works. Once again pk fails but the kids got what they wanted and needed which is all that really matters.
And last point on this is did u notice how on awards night you dont know anything about the contributions of the guys who are nominated for the award. Why is that? Im guessing because they didnt create there own media circus and get a bloody giant cheque printed. Tie Domi while in toronto donated almost a million dollars in total by each year giving a large sum of money to charity so that thousands of kids in the toronto area that couldnt afford gifts for christmas would have gifts dropped off to there homes for christmas morning. He made sure and insisted that the charity did not make it public as he wanted no credit just happy children. It came out years later after he retired that he was doing this. And he did it on a million dollar salary instead of a 9 million dollar salary!

Good bounce back game for the Leafs. Freddy made good saves and let in weak goals. He had a poor October last year so I'm willing to cut the guy some slack. |
