Moulson and Bogo for sure
Gorges is gone after this year.
I’m like what Pouliott is doing the last 3 games. - Stripes77
At this point I doubt he survives the year without getting waived if we get healthy.
There's no way we can carry him next year |

I think Hannu Virta had the same problem |

Bailey looking like he really belongs up on the big club. And it's desperately needed too. |

But getting a true #1 is basically impossible
I’m all for improving the defense,
but we gotta be realistic too
Hopefully we can still target Anaheim
I like their guys quite a bit,
and they have young guys coming to potentially replace - jdfitz77
Have to get lucky.
Columbus has two guys that could be 1’s, one drafted, another via trade with a team that needed a center.
If Middlestadt becomes an excellent center, I’d explore moving O’Reilly for a Seth Jones type player if a team has a glut of them.
This is obviously 2 years-ish down the road |

a few guys need to go
a few cap killers on the roster short term
a few serious cap issues long term - homiedclown
Well sure...
but do u still have O’Reilly & Risto in the group to be traded like u said last week?
Upgrading them is tough
But replacing the Cap killers & dead weight should be plausible, and have a nice affect |

If Mittelstat is the real deal, I would consider moving Sam. It would have to be a Hockey trade.
Sam and a first for OEL type trade (obviously not enough) but something like that. I’m enjoying watching them come together.
It took 10 games, there’s still more work to be done but they’re improving. Hopefully they keep building on it. Tomorrow will be a good test. - Stripes77
I took a ton of heat for saying Sam was 90% who he’s always going to be.
He looks no better or worse this year. Just not piggy backing points off the PP or Jack. Creates so little on his own.
He’s exactly what he’s going to be |

Scandella had a decent game |

True.
I still think he's got good years in him though. Tough start, but I'm still hopeful he'll get on track this year |

Imagine if the PP was semi-competent?
Housley needs to come in tomorrow and say "ok boys, my poop's not working. Just do what you did last year." |

(frank) no.
Borgen and a bag of pucks for Juolevi.
Going home is a huge red flag, especially since he never played there to begin with. |

Well sure...
but can u convince them to trade OEL?
Defensemen that good are rare to be traded for “pieces”
It’s usually a Weber for Subban, or Johansson for Jones
Doesn’t seem like Sam would have that type of trade value
Although I was wondering the other day of a Sam + for Carey Price might be possible? |

Okposo is the kind of big body that flourishes in the playoffs, where the moulsons of the world shrink |

we don't have many - homiedclown
Botterill is the guy I hope can get them
Pouliot is a bargain one. |

Could fetch a 3rd at the deadline if we’re out of it as well |
