I was one of the people that said 50-55 points maybe 60 playing with Eichel all year.

I will say as far as 2nd overall picks go he’s not lived up to the bill. But the season is still young.

I'm still trying to figure out why the NHL had us on national tv last night instead of the Pitt/Edm game. I get that Edmonton is a Canadian team, but I find it hard to believe the ratings would suffer that much.

Fans beef with Reinhart:

He doesn't make amazing memorable individual plays and doesn't have any standout exceptional skills. He doesn't have insane speed that gets the crowd on it's feet and isn't scoring on amazing-highlight reel type breakaways. He get's in close goals and tip ins. Tip ins aren't memorable. Unless they're made in big games, and we don't play in big games.

Not to mention he's playing center, where he's been at wing primarily the last two years and for sure is getting the "B" team wingers on the roster.

He needs to be better, but he also hasn't been put in the best position to succeed for the most part either.

I agree. I'd like him to be better. We need him to be better. He's wimpy IMO. Gets pushed off the puck too easy. He's also 2 weeks from his 22nd birthday, average(or slightly below) the average age of an NFL draftee.

They definitely make a lot of questionable decisions. The colored jersey's at home never bothered me. The majority of the NFL teams wear their colors at home as well, so whatever.

The faceoff penalty isn't new, they're now just enforcing it like it should have been. My beef with it is that they should call all penalties as they're supposed to be, not pick and choose.

I think they were smart to not go with ESPN. That whole empire is on quite the downward spiral. I think NBC does a good job personally (with the exception of Milbury).

I don't understand everyone's beef with NBC Sports...okay, other than Mike Milbury.

ESPN didn't want the NHL because it cost them more to produce then they were bringing in. Their TV contract offer going into the lockout required the league to pay for the production costs, which is unheard of for a major sport's TV deal.

I also don't understand why colored jerseys at home are considered such a travesty. Nobody complains that the NFL does it.

I like the penalty for a failed offsides challenge. It prevents the "nothing to lose" challenges that coaches made in order to get a timeout. It was the same as the illegal stick measurement back in the 90s.

The trapezoid never bothered me.

The faceoff penalty is bizarre, but I will never understand, for the life of me, how it's so difficult for NHLers to square up on a faceoff while every other level of hockey seems to have it figured out.
