Not sure anyone here is disputing the fact that Sam has not lived up to expectations so far, but saying that its not like he put up 25-30 points his first two years, he had a very good rookie year and followed that up with an increase in points.
I would expect a 2oa make those around him better, and he has not done that, not even close, cant just forget about the good times as well tho.

Seriously. I think people would be shocked if they saw the average output, line-by-line, 1-4. The average numbers for a second liner are shockingly low

I agree, he had a good 2nd rookie year. I thought he was a core guy. Just wondering what type of $ his agent is looking at . Bridge deal? I think the management wants him to distinguish himself, separate from eich.

Hes not off to a good start for any kind of decent contract, at this point it would be a hard sell for more than 2.5-3 per even that's a stretch, think he would get it just based on his possible potential.
He picked the worst year to have a slump, I don't think hes even close to the level Eichel is on, but maybe he saw Jack's deal and got all down, who knows.

One of my biggest hesitations about cutting cable and going with Kodi (I have an Nvidia Shield, which is basically Fire Stick but runs on Android TV platform) is that you are the mercy of the feeders/streamers when it comes to live sports. I was thinking of doing an NHL.TV subscription with a VPN though to minimize that for Sabres games.

Obviously Sam isn’t Kessel...
but even if it’s eventually something like
Nylander-Reinhart-Baptiste
I could see Sam getting 20-35-55pts (assuming he still gets PP1 time as well)
Then Nylander with something like 10-15goals & 20+ assists, & Baptiste netting in the ballpark of 15-15-30pts
