I guess you could call it that. Do you believe that Leier was completely healthy and ready to play and the coach chose to play Weise in that 4th line spot instead of Leier?

Dude I was making a (frank)ing joke. If he wasn't at 90+% then no I don't want him playing. It's not the stretch drive.

Calm the (frank)ing (frank) down. You have no (frank)ing chill.

Gonna start calling you iRobot

I know I wasn't the one clearing him and I trust the doctors' assessments, but I'll be damned if I didn't think he was gonna not play for a month. Dude looked like he had no idea where he was.
- Giroux_Is_God

I'd still love for someone to explain to me why he appeared that way.

Just because he passed whatever the protocol is and felt okay today doesn't mean he wasn't concussed.

They've been doing that bell ringing when guys square up for a while. Agreed, totally stupid but remember Philadelphia and the love affair with a fictional boxer....

Seemed to me that Provy had a rough game because of the absence of AMac. There were a few instances where he was totally out of sync on d-d passes. WHO CARRIES WHO?!?

But for real, they got rocked last night, some guys lost their cool (Don't know why Simmonds was so upset on that penalty with Getzlaf. Let go of the dudes stick?).

I thought Eliott looked uneven in the Edmonton game, and from just about every measureable stat, plus the eye test, Neuvirth has been the better goalie.

I guess the hit on Patrick was some bad luck and a kid not being used to the physicality just yet, but I still didn't like it. Wagner then laid out Lehtera in center ice and Giroux stuck a leg out on him. At that point I'd like someone to challenge him more than that. Wagner was running around all game, would've liked to see someone give him a talking to.

I don't know what your problem is here. I'm simply making conversation and participating in a message forum. I asked a viable question. I think the person who made the above post is who needs to calm down. I don't care what you call me.

There have been instances where a player has passed the protocol and had symptoms appear later, so I think they'll keep an eye on him and not take any chances. Just because a player was in that state does not mean that he automatically has a concussion. I'm surprised as anyone that at this point he does not seem to have one, but we'll see.

im not trying to be argumentative here... im just honestly curious... what exactly would the medical term for "that state" - as you put it - be? The guy could barely stand up on his own

Flyers have 100% of their wins with AMac in the lineup. They are winless without him

I don't know. They have some kind of tests. I still don't think concussion testing is an exact science. I think they probably have him practicing to see if physical exertion brings on any symptoms after being cleard to practice.

How likely would Morin have been matched up against Getzlaff at a home game if he was in the lineup.

Do you feel with how they played last night his presence would have helped?
- ob18

I think his presence would have helped. It wouldn't have made a difference in the ultimate outcome of the game though.

Like I said, I'm not ready to grab the pitchforks yet. If it becomes a trend when leier is fully healthy, we will have a problem.

It's also likely Hak may have just felt weise's size was an advantage against a bigger ducks team which I think is fair

I had that same thought and really is the only reason I can see why he would've picked Weise over a healthy Leier. I don't agree with it that is the case but I don't think it would've mattered either way.

explain to me why he looked like he just got out of the ring with mike tyson on his way to the back.

got the wind knocked out of him?

- Crimsoninja

A fair question no doubt but since you cant get an xray showing you have a concussion the best you can do is apply the protocols..

No iRobot, you weren't making conversation. You're programmed to argue. You were putting words in my mouth so I would say "no, that's not what I said" and then you would say "yes it is what you said. What you said is incorrect." and then I would say "that's not what I said though" and then I would explain myself, and then 4 pages later, you're still arguing about why you're right, and I'm trying to get through to you that I didn't even mean what you think I meant in the first place.

Your "debates" are mostly started by your trolling and accusatory remarks.

I won't be replying to you anymore, no matter how badly you want to argue with me about Manning, AMac, or anything else.

The tell tale is, if you find yourself talking about the poster. You're right though, I need to calm down. You're mistaken if you think I didn't know what you meant and that you were being facetious. I was simply moving the conversation along and asked a valid question.

I agree. Sports in general are really behind regarding concussions and head injuries.

With how pivotal I believe Patrick will be to the flyers success in future years, I would have liked more caution exercised. Watching the play, I thought they'd keep him off the ice in general for at least a week. It is what it is. Hopefully he is really 100 percent and will continue to make strides this year.
