True, but it could be an indicator his dizziness was related to impact on his jaw and causing his CNS to hit pause. Better that than a concussion...although if severe enough he could be also concussed

k clearly I am missing something here. What is your point? That Morin shouldn't be playing because the Leafs signed Roman Polak?
- YuenglingJagr

That Toronto, like all NHL teams, have plenty of rookies they choose not to play because they prefer veterans some of the time.

Great idea. If Hextall had any guts, he would put Stolie in tomorrow's game.
- Feanor

Hope, this is sarcasm. Is not Stolie injured?

I said that to the person I was at the game with. After the first the Flyers outshot them 2 to 1 but I felt as tho the Ducks had the better of the play. The Flyers didn't seem to have their speed last night and were out muscled a lot.

they were horrendous.

Oh definitely a bad timing for doing after the separation and serving 2 minutes and such but we all knew it was coming just from history of those things through the years. Even the refs have to know you stopped the fight and put them where in 2 minutes they will be that close again knew what was coming. It's going to happen.
- dragonoffrost

they had a little dust up in anaheim, so i wasn't surprised to see things unfold. gudas was stupid and then got embarrassed. badko.

Ducks are bigger faster and better coached even without their top guys in prime shape after injury

I think last night's tire fire all around might help push them to make the move today to put AMac on IR and call Morin up. I am not saying he plays Thursday or Saturday but they may at least give themselves the option after that mess last night.

I mean I hate how bad Provy and Hagg looked together. They each had been very good before that game and last night was like what the hell!

- dragonoffrost

MacDonald is already on IR. They also could send a forward down to create a roster space. They don't need to do anything cap wise.

Elliott was coming off of a good game against Edmonton so I get it to a degree but Neuvirth was really good in LA then sits for 3 games. Gets in again and makes 63/65 saves against NSH and FLA and sits again. Record aside, the bottom line is 1.36 gaa vs 3.33 and .957 save % vs .876. I just want to see the guy playing who is the better goalie at the moment.
- nastyflyergirl

there's no debate about who's playing better, but hey let's keep giving the new guy game after game to find his game because he's the new guy and we have to do that, and who cares that the old guy has played lights out, because we need the new guy because he's new and supposed to be the 1a.

yeah. no. let the guy work his (frank)ing ass off in practice and he'll play when he deserves it and/or neuvirth needs a rest or has a terrible game.

It looks like Gudas is the one blocking Morin.

No pairings make sense with both of them in the lineup.
And Gudas' salary is too expensive for 7th D-man.

Lets finish this defensive rebuild by moving Gudas and bringing
up Morin.

obviously glad Patrick seems to be ok, but im worried about rushing him back in.

i honestly dont know how he apparently wasn't concussed. I mean what makes a person unable to skate off the ice like that other than a concussion or a bottle of scotch?

I know but from the looks of the hit and how he looked getting back to the locker room, it seemed he was concussion-bound and wouldn't be skating the next day.

I'm not saying Morin is the answer but sweet Jesus, play this kid! All I heard last night is how much bigger and stronger the Ducks were and frankly, we did get beat up.

Simmonds couldn't fight and you know he wanted to. Gudas basically got dummied by Bieksa. The guy had an evil grin on his face before he laid Gudas out. I love what Gudas offers but I really don't think the league is all that terrified of Radko Gudas.

I earlier speculated it may have been related to jaw impact. There are some nerve bundles near where the jaw hinges and if hit correctly it can basically "turn the lights out" from an electrical impulse perspective.
