I earlier speculated it may have been related to jaw impact. There are some nerve bundles near where the jaw hinges and if hit correctly it can basically "turn the lights out" from an electrical impulse perspective. - juiced
I had this happen to me once... was attempting to defuse a fight-situation and while calmly talking to one of the friends another guy hit me in the jaw when I was turned the other way. Had no idea what happened for however long and was very confused/fuzzy. I had an idea it was a wussy move however.
Elliott was coming off of a good game against Edmonton so I get it to a degree but Neuvirth was really good in LA then sits for 3 games. Gets in again and makes 63/65 saves against NSH and FLA and sits again. Record aside, the bottom line is 1.36 gaa vs 3.33 and .957 save % vs .876. I just want to see the guy playing who is the better goalie at the moment. - nastyflyergirl
which is what they were supposed to do.
BTW, the goal Elliott let go of in the Edmonton game was not exactly a good one.
The thing I hate about the rationale of having too much inexperience on the blueline if Morin is brought up is that they'll be in the same exact position next year with Myers and possibly Friedman. The more time Sam spends in the A is another game missed. He's going to have his growing pains but Id rather let him get through them during the first half of this season than the latter half. - KINGKENZO
Neither player has shown they're close to showing nhl readiness and Myers continues to get injured. He needs to play hockey. Games in. I wouldnt be surprises if its 2 seasons before we see either. I also don't see a chance in hell of it being gost our most experienced guy with Morin hagg sanheim provorov myers/Friedman next year. I see more likely the following year where it'll be gost 4 years provorov 3 hagg sanheim 2 Morin 1 year of experience. I also highly doubt we roll with a rookie starter either at that time like everyone thinks. Probably have a 1a 1b with a veteran.
Not expected for Nolan... I swore he was done for while with how he left the ice.
UGH! Provy-Ghost means most likely still no Morin
Neuvy YAY! - dragonoffrost
No recall announced today means we will likely send 6 d to ottawa. With potentially no simmer leier I guess they want the spot ? Weise also might be injured. Idk if nolan will be game ready either. Roster kind of messy with all that.

I am going to crack up if they put Ghost or Sanheim in an offense spot. This whole board would erupt.
I don't know how good they are, but Toronto is not some kind of rookie paradise because they made the super obvious decision to play Matthews, Marner and Nylander last year. They also added a 38 year old and a 37 year old to their forwards this season, leaving Kapanen in the AHL. - Feanor
Marner just spent his last few games on the 4th line. Wasn't even close to the fan outrage there was when Konecny got the same treatment last season. Konecny by the way needs to smarten up or will be back in Hakstol's dog house.
Are we at the point where we start talking about trading someone? - Streit2ThePoint
No. If they need to, they would sign a plug and play UFA still floating around out there before doing a deal. I don't know where they have enough depth to do something like that and not create a hole elsewhere.

The difference to me is they're winning games and likely playoff bound. Some fans think they can go far. We were a bad team last year. We're above average this year.

Plus Matt Martin and Mitch Marner are so cute together
