Looking back on last night's game, I think Hak's biggest mistake was overthinking his D pairs. Rearranging all 3 pairs was an overreaction. Hagg may one day play on a top pair with Provorov but last night was not the time to start. With AMac out, the Hagg-Ghost was pair was the one good one left and should not have been broken up. Provorov should have been paired with the physical veteran Gudas, especially when going up against a big, nasty Ducks team. You then could have spotted Manning-Sanheim as a 3rd pair .

Oh well, perhaps we see this tomorrow night.

Still don't understand why they want to split Hagg & Ghost and are so hesitant to try Gudas with Provorov.

Marner just spent his last few games on the 4th line. Wasn't even close to the fan outrage there was when Konecny got the same treatment last season. Konecny by the way needs to smarten up or will be back in Hakstol's dog house.

i applaud his willingness to try to make plays. not afraid to make a mistake, etc. but he needs to be smarter/better.
