Shatty has 7 pts in 10 games I think?
Still would do the move. His offense makes up for his defensive deficiencies. - mdw7413
I think he will do well here and has so far.
I just don't see how they fix this hole at center. Losing Lindberg by not luring Vegas to take someone else is looking really bad right now.
I wonder if McDonagh + would snag Duchene? They have such a log jam at defense and nowhere to put everyone. |

I think its a fair comparison. I don't know if Andersson will be getting the offensive numbers but I think his all around game is very similar. Think Andersson is a bit more physical and quicker too. - mdw7413
Lol. There is a LOT of wiggle room in that statement!!! |

I'll go back to forwards blowing scoring chances again.
I easily think Shatty could have 15 assists by now. EASILY - jimbro83
I think when the record is this bad, you can’t blame just one thing.
The forwards have shat the bed. But the rangers are also tied for 3rd most goals allowed. That’s partly the defense, the forwards, and Hank playing like poop. And then we already have a blown lead resulting in an OT loss and have given up a goal against in the first few minutes of what feels like every game, which goes to AV.
And then there has been some idiotic roster decisions like being afraid to waive Holden or Kampfer which can be attributed to Gorton. |

Jimbo @jimbro83 15m15 minutes ago
it's amazing how bloggers absolutely OBSESS over the icetime of 12/13th forwards and 6th/7th defensemen. Every single one of them do it.

Replying to @jimbro83
Because if you point out the truth about the execution of the top 6 and top 4 it completely ruins the AV narrative.

Staal has not been too bad, at least in comparison to his teammates. |

no one on this team is scoring or performing well. I blame that mostly on the coach. the whole team seems flat. It tells me that his message has grown old. It does not help that we do not have a captain on this team. Hank is the closes thing we have to a captain and he is a Goalie.
They need to let AV go. this is a rebuild year. bring in a coach that works well with young players. I dont think Ruff is the solution as he is not friendly to youth either. |

was just looking at stepans timeline. he spent 2 years at Wisconsin after being drafted so maybe the rangers take their time a bit with Andersson and he develops into a stepan like player |

Finally a cognitive breakdown or a state of the union ...
histronics aside ..A V cost us 2 games with his last minute line ups ? lil strong
dont need to relive the past as detailed as Jan BUT
I have found a common thread in our outcomes with certain players
we have traded for or tried to use and havent gotten the results
Theory: A V 's system demands 2 way responsibilities and man to man
type covers... most failures or guys who get cups of coffee must show zero aptitude in getting the system and using not costing terrible mistakes and T O's
K Yandle .. what we found out is he is a terrible defensemen
for all his Offensive type prowess he stunk in own zone and his + _ always reflected it ... he was a long shot to fix the PP .. band aid didnt work ...
Duke is not gonna a big name ..EVER didn t risk much
move along with todays bunch J T is there ever more of a fog type guy who trances on the ice makes T O's look like the play supposed to go on???
AGAIN for all his O type skills he is amess as a 2 way constant.. he will fog out
lose his man , make the ill advised small % pass ..should i go on...
BGGEST issue is leadership vacumm ..G man & STEP both had a lot of pop in locker room ... our soft spoken bioys better find a voice to kick ass & take names
Put that bradway hat awaay and get a f'in hard hat ..period....
A V is simply puttin the best product out to for now protect from blowouts
flawd is a strong word but we have no 2nd line center or maybe a real 1st liner
said it last yr ...Z bad would be better off with a top line center to feed offf and take load off him... trying to use the centers he has & not the imposters ( Chytl-Craknell-) will wear them down for sure
Hayes is gonna be our LoganCouterier on Philly but he has 2 top centers in front of him...
to be a shut down possession type center means your nor gonna be pushed to find O just take what given in transition or T O's ... he's trying to find O ad is sacrificing the other end...
Trade ... 1st we have Boo and he better not even go 1 boo hoo or his cooffee
will be poured and back down to Conn.
Galenchuk is a simpler but at least a possible cneter .. but 2 way ..Oh my god
give em Holden for Galenchuk or prospect and salary help
I D k .. cant fathom them not protecting Oscar ot trading sum propsect /pick to keep him..something must have fallen thru as far as a center to come here
dont believe NYR brass would buy 18 yrolds to come & and play ... no way
especiall y not deemed franchise types (matthews or close knck offs )?
Gorts has hung A v out to dry ? gotta believe all A V is doin is workin with what is working even sumwhat .. when you see guys getting pulled and sat its caus e they are lost on the ice ... watch Buchny sumtimes he just drifts and always out of D zone (prematurely) never out of O zone ... he's one of the last out of the O zone when he goes deep behind goal line to work for puck...
not much on the beamwith this team.....YET time is a deadly beat..Ariz loss could spell DOOM for the team OR be the poison needed to trade so called top assets to fill a gaping hole that NEVER should have been there in the 1st place
NHL centers have become like the quarter backs of football
cant really COMPETE unless you have a top one ......
2 top centers..... you are the elite zone and stand a strong chance in the P O's
we NYR missed the boat the lst yrs andstill competed strong ..BUT looking back
we trade for Nash and never found him the top center he deserved to play with??Richards was the only real attempt..
Now we have a team with talented wingers ? and no one to set them up or maintain defensive integrity and control ....
go around the lg ..our 2 to centers have to be the WORST TOP 2 IN THE LG...?
thanks gorts and slats for selling us a flawed bill of goods
I said it in summer I'm such a die hard fool i know not to invest in such a product
i canhelp myself but to watch in horror as we get hosed every nite up the middle which erodes any d integrity you can muster ...
WAKE UP AND MAKE THE MOVES TO GET THE STRENGHT WHERE IT HS TO BE
U P THE MIDDLE ....JT ..tradem if he + other guys will geta top man to start the
build back up but make moves ..status quo sucks ....L G R - Dundee13
