Looks worse than NASCAR

Here's my take on this team:

This off-season saw four players that have been with the organization for two years or more; two of these guys were here for seven years or longer and were strong voices on the ice and in the locker room.

You take these players away and management does not replace them in any immediate or significant way, then you start the season losing and it will get every player thinking nothing but negative things; making moral at an all time fragile-low. This is an organization that did nearly everything it could, but fall short and win the Cup. Losing like this is a new thing for them. Add this to those major personnel moves and it is keeping this team from doing what we are all used to seeing them do...score goals, play some D, and win.

I really think this team can be good. However, they will not know it until they win a mere two games in a row and build a little confidence in themselves as individuals and as a team.

Two wins in a row. I think that's all it will take to get these guys rolling.
