Hopefully JB is playing his cards close, Koekoek would be a nice add. |

Is Sam Gagner still playing hockey for the Canucks?
I watched the game this morning, real snoozer, but hey, they won! Glad to see Jake burying a chance, who knows, with a little more ice-time he could score 15 to Boeser's 25 |

gagner has been invisible as a Canuck so far, for sure. |

I know this is unlikely, is it possible JV is being showcased as a precursor to a deal?
Kind of like they did with CoHo?

I've often mentioned that if Jake Virtanen can be what Dustin Brown was for LA during their good years they'll be just fine with that pick. Even Dustin Brown lite and I'd be happy.
Six good years out of Brown before his decline...ages 22 to 27 were |

Also, 5th best league wide gaa.
Game was boring, but as Lefty has often said Boeser and Virtanen are playing and improving, making for some excitement.👍 |

Wild are short of offensive players who are injured and just got back Granlund who needs to catch up with pace. So they played a tight clog the neutral zone game. Canucks are not an offensive powerhouse so breaking that is daunting. Plus end of long road trip played it safe too. At least their young guys lead the way generating the most chances and finally with JV scoring. |

You know the game was a dud when a good chunk of the highlights package is dressing room shots, guys coming out of the tunnel and the warmup skate.
Is anyone looking forward to paying $150 per ticket plus transportation and concessions to see the Wild when they come to town for the rematch?
The NHL is still largely gate-driven isn't it? What does the salary cap look like in 5 years when the fans have turned their backs on this grossly-overpriced product? What happens to teams like Edmonton who have signed stars to huge max term deals? If you've got one player taking up a third or more of the cap they'll be unable to afford the support they need to be successful.
I suspect we may soon see another expansion team and a few other franchises sold so owners can take advantage of the market before it collapses. |

Stubhub routinely has tickets for under $30 USD. Going to dallas, row 3 upper bowl for $22 Monday. |

Yeah as a broke student I'm liking this whole poopty ticket sales thing. Got lower bowl tickets to that Dallas game for $39 USD on Stubhub (that's before tax/fees). They are 19 rows up behind the goal, so not amazing seats but it will be nice to be in the lower bowl for a change. |

That's exactly the point. The realistic 'market price' for this entertainment product is substantially lower than the retail price the team has been selling tickets for.
It was a popular buy for corporations as a client incentive when it was difficult to even get tickets. Now that it's lost some of that prestige, how can they expect to continue to charge 4-5X what people are actually willing to pay to go?
At some point there will be a correction and that will reduce the salary cap. |

I didn't get to watch, but I think he's played pretty well so far this year and am starting to hope he wants to stay. |

Thanks for the review. I will miss Snowy White not being there on guitar, they've been playing together longer than Pink Floyd was together. |
