He's probably overall been the best Canuck not named Chris Tanev game in and game out thus far. He might not have the points, but his possession, shots hits, positive turnover ratio-the kid is killing it. |

I wouldnt say best, but he has certainly been among the most consistent |

The Capitals are the best team we will have played, I thought it was kind of self explanatory. - neem55
The caps have a worse record than us - they've beaten The Wings, Devils, Habs and Sens - wow. They had one of the worst off seasons in NHL history and their D is...
Djoos-Carlson
Orpik-Bowey
Orlov-Chorney = Terrifying
if you can shut down the Ovy/CutnutsOff line then they got Backstrom/Oshie and its pretty slim after that.

Sure, I'll agree with that. He's in the small group on the team that has played well in every game he has played. |

That sounds more realistic, I was about to say the same as Whitey but he's younger and quicker on the draw. |

Good to see he is looking finally ready for the NHL game. TG has done a great job with his development. In a few seasons he may help us forget not picking Ehlers or Nylander.
Still a long way to go before that happens though. |

Smallest TOI/game is hard for me to label him as the best, but I think he is showing well enough to start getting an expanded role and see if he can maintain his level of play. I'd give him most consistent and biggest surprise. He's brought it every game and every shift, which is a happy change |

So Ott with 4 wins...WPG with 4 wins...Calgary with 5 wins...they weren't a good test I guess? |

I said Capitals will be the toughest test. They are better than all of those teams IMO if that's what you are getting at. Honestly the only better teams right now are probably pitts and TB. The east is pretty stacked now, we had our time of dominance in the West but I expect one of those three teams to win the cup. LA does look pretty darn good again now though. |

LA does look good not sure it will last. I think the Caps window is closing rapidly.
But we very well could be looking at a PIT-TB conference final. |

The caps have got some very good young guys in Vrana, Djoos, Bowey and Kuz going forward. I do agree OV and Backstrom window closing, but they are in fairly deep still. |

Tampa always seem to run into injuries that end up killing them whether its Stamkos = knee, blood clot, broken Tibia!! or Johnson, Palat or Callahan - it never fails. |
