Tampa always seem to run into injuries that end up killing them whether its Stamkos = knee, blood clot, broken Tibia!! or Johnson, Palat or Callahan - it never fails.

The caps have got some very good young guys in Vrana, Djoos, Bowey and Kuz going forward. I do agree OV and Backstrom window closing, but they are in fairly deep still.

Fair points. They have some good youth coming. They did go all in last year and didn't make the final. Really kinda needed to happen last season IMO. Could be looking at a 5-7 year cycle of developing more youth if they don't get close again this season. Really I think the only club that can prevent PIT from getting back to the finals a third straight year is TBAY.

I agree Crosby/OV has been owned by Crosby. Such a fun series to watch, but Pitt is just dominant up the middle. I agree also TB can and has beat them, Philly also seems to have their number and I have them as a dark horse in the East lead by that crazy young d core they have. Nucker will finally be able to go back to the Philly thread full-time

I don't see it. Every team gets injuries, but I think this is their year. Such a deep team, Point and Sergachev are both scary looking this year adding to an already potent lineup.

I was hoping during that Tanev to TB rumour last year that they would target Point. He's a little undersized but has that grit and smarts

Their forward group cant defend quite as well as the guys at the back end. It's an issue.

considering his ice time and how low scoring the league is this is really good.

Off the top of my head Peter Forsberg stayed in Sweden for three years before he came over. Nick Lidstrom two years in Sweden before he came over. Malkin spent two years in Russia before he came over...
