Maybe they are a part of the "some".

I'm pretty sure you're taking a page out of Nuck4u's book and putting words in other peoples mouths. Just because some are positive, doesn't mean they are talking SCF and rebuild over.

After 10 games the team isn't 4-5-1 and on a 6 game losing streak.

They also have 30 goals in the first 10 games not 17. Improvement!

Well that’s quite the insult, thanks.

I’m not putting words in anyone’s mouth, I stated an observation, my observation is the level of giddiness over a few wins that I believe were against struggling teams.

You want to voice your opinion of greatness in the making and I’ll post my opinion that it’s too early, slow down and allow the team time.

You jumped all over me when someone posted we have the next McDavid in Dahlen because he he went 200 feet and there was a beautiful goal scored. I said it was a beautiful goal but to take it in perspective, 2nd tier league, lower competition, but you decided that I shouldn’t try to temper the McDavid comparison, and attacked my post, and I let it go and deleted all reference.

You don’t like my opinions, not my issue. You want to insult me, makes it my issue.

The goalies name on Victoria Royals is Griffin Outhouse. That is a really sh1tty name. Yes I went there.Calgary should draft him seeing their goalies are always on the crapper.

I’ve already been approved so you are wrong

You're right I don't know the specifics of your purchase. But until your file is cleared for closing you are not completely approved. I'll refrain from adding any further advisement from my years of experience in the area.

You're not wrong, it's way too early for predictions on the team. Its nice to see them win though. The biggest improvement is their puck pursuit system. Nice to see Horvat Baertschi and Boeser playing well together though.

You have been reading somebody else's book not mine...

Though you are right about Canucks improvement regardless of wins as the losses will come a plenty.

Best thing is the system and play of the younger guys to lead team.

It will make it easier for prospects to earn their way into a team that will give them more chances of succeeding into full time NHL players.

Yes I agree, I was quite pleased to see how fast the guys pressured the opposition, they really attacked the play with purpose. At the same time it seemed as if Washington were playing a step behind.

But there were a lot positives with a couple of lines, the last few games.

Im no expert but id like to see them build through the draft for another year, maybe two, we'll see how it plays out. Its fun when they win but let the leaf fans do the parade planning.

I think with the twins leaving and Gaudette arriving the team will be faster. It will soon be hard finishing in the top 5 picks. I think this could be the last year

Gaudette is interesting in that he seems to be a late bloomer and only getting better, I saw his goals yesterday, he's got a really choppy skating stride but is in the Boeser mold where he's an intelligent player.

I always temper expectations until I see them play at the pro level though.

When they are not trading away their top picks it means they are building through the draft. Notice they haven't traded away their 1st round picks.(Not players) A couple now are ready to have an impact in JV and BB.

So the build has been happening and you'll see the two highest picks in OJ and EP accelerate their development playing against men.

Though they traded for position between former top 3 1st rounder Guddy and prospect extra 1st pick Mcann. Plus dumped a MG dud to get Granlund.

It all counts in a rebuild.

I don't see a top 5 pick this season. Too many crappy teams out there. A top 10 pick is a more realistic spot.
Not waving pom-poms, but this team is much better, more entertaining and working harder. I think they end up around 22nd this year.

So true about the Leafs. We always criticize the leaf fans because every year they start the season with the same over value perspectives, and now the Canucks are playing better and I can see a few posters with the same perspective.

I also strongly agree with building through the draft for the next couple of years, draft, develope, don’t rush players into roles they are not ready for.

That's okay as long as improvement is from youth. But as long as they miss the playoffs they have a realistic chance at a lotto win. That said its quality picks that count. There are plenty of players that go later in the 1st round that have turned out to be great. Some exceptional like Pasternack, BB for example.

Yes the leaf boys roller coaster of emotions can be entertaining that's for sure. When I say build through the draft I mean with another top five pick and some additional added picks like last year. That draft looks promising, but again, who knows with 18 year old kids.

Another draft with a top five pick and some good second and third round picks they may be on to something, hopefully.

It's always possible to "project" for when they are at the NHL level. That's normally what scouts and analysts do.

Who cares what his stride is like when you can move like this

Benning is not doing a lot of trading for draft picks. He likes to trade for second round players drafted a year or two earlier. He came out and said at TDL we have enough draft pick we want players that are closer to ready
