Nice to have promising goaltending and some wingers in system, now a few more defenseman and centre's with high potential and cupboard will be almost there.👍

Yeah they are and Cassels going there now won't help that much either. Was my biggest beef for Utica development this season was lack of quality centers to help the wingers.

That said still would like to see Dahlen brought to Comets when Timra contract up in December. He's showing he's up to speed on mono recovery. For his game I'd like to see how he handles going to the net from the corners in smaller rink with rough D lining you up for hits.

Would be nice for him to get up against some stronger competition. Seems to be dominating the Allevenskan (misspelled) league.

Cassels may help some skilled wingers play defence for them. TG did use CC in a lot of important face-offs last season I believe.

The league could argue that the brain is more developed, so it would be more beneficial to raise the age.
The NHLPA would have a hard time arguing against player safety imo.

Edit: I think the courts would have to take a serious look at it also.

- Renidrag

Whatever arguments are made the courts don't rule just for one league on age eligibility on draft. It applies to all the major sports leagues.

The only league the draft age at 19 would seem to hurt would be the NHL. What lesser league would not love to keep their most talented players another year.

99% of kids aren’t ready at 18 to play in the league and you’d get a better sense of what you’re investing in at an older age.

How many 18 year olds play in the NFL, none, they draft 20+ year old kids who can step into the league.

One criteria for the NFL is you must be three years removed from high school to be eligible.

Got to laugh have lost 3 waiver bids this week and Pres. has made SMP so much stronger who on top of trade also won out picking up Ekblad that Pres dropped for Mcleod...

That says NFL, not NHL. I don’t remember the last kid after Trevor Linden to make the Canucks as an 18 year old, has there been one?

Edit: maybe Petr Nedved?

Seems the Vegas players are pissed they were not worthy of trading or protecting and are out to prove they are better. Have had a sweet heart schedule but hey they came to play and have delivered.

So I guess with Vegas run on top people will chalk up Canucks in same fluke category and not give credit to differences. You know the haters are just waiting for things to sour to go all out lol.

I watched the first period. They were not good. The Second period their best period for goals, every chance they got/made they scored. Stopped watching after the second.

I can't see them keeping up their current record for the entire season.

They continued the tradition with their first round pick this season lol. They probably will have to keep it up with the cap hell they are facing too

Though I don't mind if Canucks add a developed 19 year old

edit: don't know why its in bold but can't change it lol.

Yup more luck then play for Vegas. But can't refute the will to show up them players felt from the burn of expansion lol.

Though you get it too the Canucks aren't fluking their results. Doubt they will hang with the big teams and lose their fare share overall. But that's fine as long as there is development.

Better hope they drafted some stars this year. Win games with that team will probably mean mediocrity for a while.

It is getting a little out of hand.
We laugh at the Maple Leafs for planning their parade route every October and now most of the Canuck fans are doing the same thing.
I can't wait for the emotional breakdowns, suicide packs and other assorted freak outs when the first losing streak starts. A fragile fanbase.

I don't really see a lot of Pom Poms. The team has been playing great hockey and showing glimpses of the future, and people are happy. People get criticized for everything here.

You are damned if you do , damned if you don't.
