hmmm where does Gaunce fit with a healthy roster?
I'd prefer Burmistrov in over Gaunce. unless Gaunce has some new found offense after his conditioning stint with the Comets.
I keep going back to trading a winger and dmen if/when we get a healthy roster. - hillbillydeluxe
I’m down for a trade but its hard so early in the season but maybe after 20 games we get our wish. |

Griffin Reinhart 23, 6'4, former 4thOA. Someone has to pick up this guy. - VanHockeyGuy
Not worth the extra contract we would use up. Trade away a contract maybe if a minor trade. |

(from Kuzma's tweet - Carol's blog)
Practice lines with no Boeser for #Canucks
Baertschi-Horvat-BOESER
Granlund-Sutter-Dorsett
Sedin-Sedin-Virtanen
Vanek-Burmistrov-GAUNCE
okay, I'd swap Gaunce for Megna, but if Boeser is healthy, I'd rather him in than Gagner.
need another injury or trade to open a spot up for Gaunce. - hillbillydeluxe
I totally agree 👍👍
If all r healthy if TG wants Gaunce in then I’d sit Gagner instead. |

I apologize if that's what it seemed like.
Dragon is a quality, polite and insightful poster here. I really admire his diverse knowledge/experiences and respect his viewpoints.
Thanks Pres.cup! - Nucker101
Lol... i just spat out my coffee, well played. You are a good poster who posts multiple viewpoints and doesn't fixate on numbers, no scratch that... you're a great poster. |

Gaunce is only allowed to be in Utica for the length of conditioning stint, 2 weeks I believe, before he would be required to go through waivers.
By then another injury or 2 will probably happen, but if not they can always go to 14 forwards and 7 defenseman by waiving Biega.
Benning will have to be all over the asset management situation that is inevitably going to happen. |

On the topic of analytics i do enjoy the input for assessment reasons but its maybe 60% value overall IMO
Using the eye test & flow of the play & wins vs losses is what i base most of my opinion on & add in linemates effectiveness on the nights play.
So in the end data alone is too generalized but large sample sizes does give a better picture sometimes. |

It is worth looking at . We should be moving Vanek at TDL for a pick so one out one in |

Gaunce Burmi Vanek - VANTEL
Thats a good depth 4th line wow
Rolling 4 lines really makes more sense this year rather than WD forcing it without the talent he had. |

Gaunce Burmi Vanek - VANTEL
I would be fine with making that line interchangeable. A 4/5person rotation to keep everyone fresh.

Yes maybe but i see no rush to get Reinhart being what he is prolly being a career AHLer IMO. Waiver wire pickups at this juncture r not needed for us yet. Contract for contract is my only reason to get him. |

I’d take it one step further & sit who is not playing up to snuff & create more competition or for match ups depending on the opponent. |

Ya. That was what I was going to add-on, but thought it unnecessary as it would go without saying😆 |

People said Weirchioch was too slow and Pouliot was a fire drill . Both have been decent this year. Like Green said it is like having 25 NHL players. Vegas has a good D no room for him.
It would just be depth and with two Dmen down already I would pick him up and put him in the press box. We only have 46 contracts according to Cap Friendly |
