I can't imagine teams are lining up to give the house for a player that the team is mishandling and is completely checked out.

I wouldn't hate them trying for Shipachyov, Hjalmmerson, and Dvorak.

I'm hoping the 5 days off will help get their heads right.

Maybe a trade will shake things up, but need it to happen so that whoever they trade for can meet the team and get accustomed to the team.

I think if they can make the team better, they need to.

Depending on the assets going the other way, obviously.

I wouldn't want to trade someone with upside just to make a trade, or a pick in the first two rounds, but if you can get a stud I would listen.

I wonder if we could package Baptiste and Fasching to a team like Vegas or Arizona.

They are young players, and could help them in their build toward the future.

Stop chasing shiny new toys.

He's 30 years old. If he is an NHLer (debatable) its for offense, he has a bad 200 foot game. $4.5M contract. We already have 2 top 6 centers and if we need a center at all (debatable) it would be a bottom six defensive guy.

Shipachyov is a pure distraction. Ignore him.

Is Shipachyov really worth it though? This whole ordeal really makes him out to have attitude issues, but maybe that will make him play with something to prove.

I saw some highlights of the couple of NHL games he played this year and it looks like the talent is there. I just don't what it would take to get him. I would tel Vegas we will take Shipachyov off their hands if they throw in Lindholm

That right there is the reason the you won't see JB move on him. I get the feeling that JB is very much like McDermott. They're going to look to bring in character guys that want to be here and give their all. You don't have to look far to see what the overall plan is for both teams.

All he needs to do is score goals and make plays I don't need him to be a defensive Guru

I don't think it would hurt at all if he's not good you just throw him in the AHL and then he'll just leave for the KHL it's not a big deal

He hasn't even been given a chance at all he was promised a top-six spot to prove himself he got shifted to the AHL ( because of a rule) before the first game and that's when it all started

if he would have started opening day he would have been on the top six spot and who knows where he would be
