Should the Bills win Thursday night at MetLife Stadium against the New York Jets, losers of three consecutive games, Buffalo will own a 6-2 record -- the team's best mark through eight games since a 7-1 start in 1993, the season in which Buffalo made the last of its four consecutive Super Bowl appearances. - homiedclown
I herd we were favorites in won of those games, hyuck. |

And the fact he's actually making progress in being a passer first. He still scrambles, but he's looking downfield to make a throw instead of taking off running right away more and more lately. The 2 biggest plays yesterday were off of scrambles and big time throws down the field. His yardage sucked yesterday mainly because they ran the ball 37 times, but he completed 74% of his throws in poop conditions and his QB rating was 101.6.
They're not going to draft a big time QB unless something whacky happens. Even if they lost the rest of their games they'd still be drafting 7th or 8th. And the teams drafting higher all need a QB. The Giants will need one in the next few years and they'd be stupid to pass on the chance to get another franchise guy, the way Luck's recovery is going the Colts might be looking, Carson Palmer is 63 years old and is injury prone, and those are just the teams that have QBs but would be wise to look to the future. That's not counting the Jets, Browns, and 49ers who are desperate for one. So that leaves the Bills with probably the 5th or 6th guy. I know they're saying this is '83 all over again, but that's a lot to ask for given the college guys performances thus far this season. - Wetbandit1
Tyrod averages under 200yds a game passing this year
He’s not 5-2, the BILLS are
We are winning on the backs of the defense
And when we play good teams & don’t get 3/4 turnovers, or they shut down McCoy, can Tyrod pass us to victory?
There’s just no evidence to suggest that he can
And there’s 5/6 first round caliber QBs this year... they won’t all go in the top10 |

I have no idea WTF that is.
I can't tell if that's supposed to be a joke or not.
143.5 points.
Just divide 21 by 12(1.75) and multiply by 82(143.5).
Lot easier that way. - Wetbandit1
Right?
That was the weirdest math I’d ever seen |

if they beat the jets, miami twice and the colts
thats 9 wins
chargers, pats, pats, saints, chiefs
win 2 of those, they get 11 wins
win the right 3 of those 5 and they could have home field for the acf

the bills could not vs the panthers or bengals
that shows what will happen if tyrod is forced to throw 40 times |

If this winning continues (big IF) and the Bills make the playoffs, look for them to draft 5 starters for next year with their first 6 picks. The other pick will be used on a QB. That person can sit behind Tyrod for a season, two seasons, half a season, or whatever.
I know most rookie QB's get thrown in right away, but the more the Bills win and the more Tyrod does what is asked of him, it's going to be difficult for them to just cut ties with him. - Stripes77
This makes sense
Although I could see them trading up to get a QB if there’s 1 in particular they like
Might he sit behind Tyrod for a period?
Yeah, that could happen
But I’d be shocked if we didn’t pick a QB
It’s pretty rare to consistently win while passing for only 200ish yards |

Yes I am a Jets fan....but doesn't this just feel like one of those games the Bills will forget to show up and play football? - feetontheair22
No, no way SM let’s it happen. That and he has the players believing. |

I’m really not trying to bash Tyrod
He’s an ok QB
If we had a dominant defense then he might just be good enough to do some great things in the playoffs
But we have a bend don’t break defense who gets a lot of turnovers
We can’t depend on that against good teams like KC & the Pats |

The Raiders were a team that figured it out after their rough start and the Bills played well. Carr said so himself. The Bills took away the deep pass and covered the short routes very well.
I’m not saying this is a championship team or anything but the AFC is wide open.

U think we can count on Smith & Brady to turn the ball over?
Seems pretty unlikely |

If we had a better passing offense,
then I’d agree that maybe we could hang with KC & the Pats
But without the turnovers...
-they will put up points on us
-our offense won’t get the field position help they need to get some easy points
It’s looking like playoffs this year,
FINALLY
and that’s great!
But to take the next step,
either the defense is gonna have to be dominant
Or we are gonna need a QB that can win with his arm at times
Preferably both, or course |

I am really getting behind McDermott
He is putting together a great game plan and he has his teams playing as one for each other.
Rex couldn't do that.
Rex's teams had more talent, McDermott is getting the most out of his talent. Almost Nolan like (his first time here). - Stripes77
I agree, the bills are night and day better then with rex. Last 2 years they under achieved, thus year they are overachievers. Really liked the response from the team on the Holmes catch. Pretty fired up. The future feels good and different. Mcdermott was an easy sell with the pagulas. What's not to like?

The bills will probably draft a qb, but maybe not as early as we were expecting. Tyrod really has no realistic help at wr. No stars for sure.
How about the defensive system and the dbs. White maybe defensive rookie of the year. Poyer and Hyde solid free agent signings. Bj Gaines was a good trade especially if he can stay healthy. Great to see the pats fans hating on gilmore. 11 million of head ache
