It's strange that people are ridiculed for saying anything positive about the Canucks. They still suck but it's ok to enjoy the odd game or play. If folks don't enjoy the down years than watch soccer for a couple years and check back in 2019.

I don't know if it is once bitten, twice shy with the nice start?

I'm enjoying the games so far. still not sure how long they will be able to play this up tempo style. Thought we had seen it before and fade by the 10 game mark.

Don't think we are bottom 3 this season, hoping for some lottery luck for a change.

Conversely, it's strange that people are ridiculed for saying anything negative about the Canucks. You can enjoy their current streak and play but still be unhappy with certain elements of the team or it's management.

I love soccer, talk about skilled athleticism, I know everyone focuses on players going down and rolling around. But the game if people actually understood it is quite entertaining.

I play 'football' over here on a beautiful pitch they built and cannot believe how much cardio is required to play for even 20 minutes straight. You can't frickin glide

On another note, I think today is a sad day for HB, JJ is leaving as the Blackhawks blogger, I've always enjoyed his blogs, it was a good rivalry between Vancouver and Chicago in the past.

Hope he does well going forward.

It's not the sport that's the problem, it's the characters who play it that are the problem.

I like basketball but dislike most of the characters who play it professionally. Same goes for American football and soccer.

It seems like I can relate to most hockey players so they don't piss me off as much as the other pro athletes do.

This is where I am at, I agree with this all except I do believe that this is still a bottom 3 team. Hot start, but unless the Sedin's wake up I think teams will start matching up the kids more regularly and the lack of depth will hurt them

#Canucks, Attendance has fallen. They have dropped to 20th at 17,418 through 5 home dates this season. Actually looks worse then that!

Don't underestimate hockey's cardio effect. I play once in a while with friends out at UBC and a friend of a friend from California joined us. He was in a roller-hockey league but never played on ice. He could skate but not well.

Sitting next to him on the bench I've never seen a guy sweat so much. He looked at me and said "I've played them all but I've never felt so drained as I do now".

And man did he ever look wrecked. It's a sport that requires everything you've got; stamina, strength, agility, toughness, coordination, balance, vision, etc, etc.
