Catching up on the banter...

Edler is the same player he has been for the past 4 years. We don't notice how much we miss him until he is not on the ice. I don't see regression in his gameand think his value remains the same.

Tanev is a keeper...affordable, young, and not replaceable by a pick that will take 3-4 years to develop. Dumping Tanev for picks will make us look like Edmonton, who drafted a bunch of forwards but still is weak defensively despite having two of the best offensive players in the world.

I resign Guddy for 4 years if he wants to stay. He is young and has showed well so far. By the time we are competitive he will be 29. I'd go all the way to 5 a year to make it happen. If not, deal him for a high second / late first to recoup the McCann pick.

Defensive D Man award goes to Stevens in my eyes.

Tough loss but another game in which we competed and should have won. No finish tonight, but that is to be expected from a team in transition. Still a fun game to watch.

Is there anyone who regrets the Schneider for Bo deal? Miller was good enough and the Swedes are solid. I'd take Bo every day.

If Dorsett scores 15 and continues his solid defensive play he might garner a late first.

My 2 yuan for anyone who cares about the opinions of a transplanted Canadian in China

I hear you man. A pitcher of beer and 2/3 bottle of red wine last night did make the Canucks a better team...

Flagged for upsetting those that don't want any hate.....

Are you suggesting that it was fun when we could create 20 pages of animosity? You monster!

Don't worry... I'll flag myself.

Jesus, what's happening to the Rangers?

I guess I haven't been paying attention but it's quickly becoming a poop show.

I'm going to PM one of the Refs to let them know how grateful I am for your support.

He ain't getting a 1st. But a 2nd isn't ridiculous if he continues to play on a "shutdown line" and look OK doing it. We all know GM's love "grit/intangibles" for a playoff push. I'd guess a 3rd realistically though, especially since he still has that 2.5M cap hit that's still on the cap next year too.

Look at what PIT gave up for Reaves.

Look what Ottawa gave up for Burrows. Dorsett is bringing just as much as Burrows did.

The effort is there the finish isn't

Whenever Vanek gets the puck his shot is on the net, whether from the goal line, half boards, blue line, red line D-zone...his shot always hits the net. I'm not talking about quality of shot, or whether he hits the goalie right in the chest. I'm just stating that the guy knows where the net from away where on the ice.

Now I think I heard at one point last night that The Canucks had something like 80-90 chances and 35 shots on net.

I would like to propose that Vanek teach these guys where the hell the net is...I have never seen sooo many shots go wide in a game, Hutton alone must have missed 20 times.

The misses where infuriating to watch

Reported!
You're going to make Selke candidate Dorset feel bad by comparing him to, that other awesome washed up player, Burrows. I'm pretty sure that violates the COC.... somehow.

I however support your ability to have opinions as long as no feelings are hurt, if by reporting you I've caused your feelings to be hurt, please pm me and I'll report myself.

If Dorset has 10 goals by the deadline he should get a high 3rd or a low second. Just my opinion, hope it's not hurtful

For as much as people take shots at our own fanbase. After 3 cups with their core, the Hawks fans are tired of Joe Q, Toews, Seabrook, Bowman, etc.

The Canucks may have dominated possession, but the Devils looked really good last night. And I'm still waiting to see some goals!
