Think I actually PMd both of you, I dont know if kaiser got it but yea I'm around. My fathers health took a turn for the worse so moved back home and been dealing with some family things but it's getting better.

Sorry to hear about that. Hope things turn around for him/you. I lost my mom in March. Still feels like a large gaping wound a lot of days.

yeah it's not enough to be fast skating. Gotta think fast, pass fast and accurate. I like what Housley is going for, but you need much better passing than what's currently happening.

I was at the game Saturday, and pretty much was screaming at Tennyson from my seat about how bad he was the whole game. Brutal. The goal right as the PP expired was 100% his fault IMO.

Why can't our guys ever seem to be able to keep the puck in at blue line? So frustrating...

Its early but Housley backing Tennyson like he did today gives me very little faith for the future.

This season is shaping up to be a tough one, on one hand we as fans have gone through the Darcy suffering years, and the tank years, only to be still looking for answers. This attitude makes us all very impatient and wanting to see moves made right now, which makes a lot of sense, from a fans point of view.

However, I believe that management is at a completely different stage then we are, because they have only been hear for, what like 3-5 months? While we were suffering through the crap that was/is the Sabres, Phil and Jbotts were part of winning organizations with philosophies they are trying to instill in Buffalo.

I truly believe that Jbotts is simply going to go through the motions this year to see what he really has in the lineup, which will include some hard to watch hockey, as all the players attempt to get on the same page. Once he gets to know players better I think this roster will see heavy turnover next offseason as they start to trim the fat off the roster.

It sucks right now, for sure, but all is not lost, we still at least have Eichel.

Nobody likes hearing it but it's a system that requires better passers in general. Transition game is still lacking. They dont seem to generate much sustained possession or offence when they start out from their own end.

I still don't understand the Montreal game, first damn game of the season. Tons of forecheck pressure, great breakouts. What happened? Is montreal that bad?

That's what happens when your passes don't hit the other players stick. They're either way too far from who it's supposed to be going to, or they pass it just behind them, or in their feet. A tape to tape pass on this team is a rare occurrence.

Yeah they dropped 7 in a row after that. Maybe 8.

I think Arizona is on pace to win like 8.

I think their transition game has gotten a lot better...I like the support in the defensive zone and like the fact that they're doing short, crisp passing for a breakout instead of going for the stretch-pass home run every time...some of the work I've seen the last few games in this department has been real strong, and that includes the last game against sjs...

I'm alternating between numb and angry. I've said it a thousand times, and I know it's redundant, but you simply cannot have forwards with 0 points on the team. It's not Moulsons fault he sucks, but I am legitimately angry at him. If you're going to suck, you have to contribute somehow. I personally believe this season is basically over. Maybe we can get a guy or two back, but when I look at the state of the 4th line, I just think there's no way this is anywhere near a playoff team. When Erod gets back, please, something like this:

That's the other half of the issue. Our guys are bad at making passes, but they also suck at accepting them.

It's a bad situation all the way around.
