I also think Q's message with this core has died. What about moving McD out too? Don't you think he is behind some of these contract, or am I just misreading the situation? |

McD has done a good job of marketing IMO ,weather he is behind the contracts ,Don't know . The HAWKS have paid for what players have accomplished ,better then paying for what we think they may do ,as many teams are and have done . |

The NBA seems to have changed their uniform rules: home team wearing the colored uniforms, road team wearing the white. |

Also need to think about the affect on future free agents: if you don’t reward your players after two or three Cups, I think you lose some cred when going out and trying to sign the new guys.

That was not aimed at you. It’s the sound of time winding down on Q’s tenure in Chicago. |

Yes .I think the HAWKS have been a model franchise of late .Taking care of their core big time , and treating players with respect .Ie players like Sharp and Soupy coming back on discounts . Kruger loyalty being rewarded ,with a solid contract . On the hand Q handling of some player coming in (Daley Wise Leddy) has been shoddy at best . |

I still think Daley is, and was a steaming pile. Leddy was a luxury they couldn’t afford, and Wise is just meh. If those are the 3 biggest personnel blunders this team makes, id say they’re doing just fine. |

Is Toews remain a legitimate #1 center?
Does he remain as #1 as long as you have a point producing #2 center? For us that means Schmaultz needs to be consistently good. For all the AA naysayers, do not discount that he is an capable fill in whom is productive with Kane- when there is an injured or concussed other center.
One option after this season is if you could even if necessary give away the contacts of Seabrook and AA. The savings might translate to a position for ? |

I believe those moves are on Q , Daley did ok on Pit D and got 2 rings . Leddy yes but If Q had shown more faith maybe thing work out a little different .Wise may have been the biggest mistake in 7 game loss to ST.L two years ago . Wise was a solid playoff player ,who when used correctly is a real pest that get's under opposing teams skin and makes thing happen . And in a close series like that one was ,Wies could have been tipping point . As we all know Browwer sure tipped thing for the Blues .. |

The best marketing is winning. The rest is easy.
It would have been hard for a second grader to fail at marketing well during the Hawks’ Cup run times.
True talent is marketing well during less fruitful times. Like now. |

Heyyy.... Sharp's back!?
Whoop Whoop! Bobbleheads!
Let's have Kane stick-handle through a bag of pucks...WITH DUB-STEP PLAYING!
Blackhawks Vinyl-wrapped Chevy poop-stain. It's what young multi-millionaire athletes drive! That's plausible! |

Pretty much.
Weise as a "meh" player was a better option than Mashinter as a "sucking wound" player during an intense, physical 7 game series. |

The over-arching problem has been fewer and fewer "core" players left, some of whom are past their primes, sucking up more and more cap space, leaving less space for mid-range players (in salary and ability), and an over-reliance on aging vets and journeymen and players on their ELCs making up the rest of the roster. |

Looks like one favorite option may be off the table
Elliotte Friedman@FriedgeHNIC
Word on three-way: Duchene to OTT, Turris to NASH and not exactly sure on COL. Ekholm’s name came up, but no certainty he was in final deal |
