Why do people refuse to stream stuff? Just get a Spectrum internet, I mean, I have the bare minimum Spectrum high-speed internet at 14.99 per month and I get speeds of like 2.5 mbps on average, which is enough to stream even in HD.
Netflix, Hulu, everything works fine. Just search google " - BeadyEyedDouche[insert program here] watch online free" and as long as you have ad block and anti-virus, you will find everything and won't have any issues.
It blows my mind people still pay for cable. I get that in the Southtowns and stuff, you can only get satellite, but most everywhere has an option for affordable high-speed internet.

Stream qualities even on good sites suck. - Wetbandit1
No, your computer sucks.
I have an LCD monitor, a Lenovo Thinkcentre (Trust me it's nothing special) and like I said, the literal bare-minimum internet you can buy.
I can stream in HD. I don't, because I can't even move the friggin' mouse without it locking up, but if I click and leave it, I'm usually good to go.
And I've used HDTVs as monitors, too. They look fine to me.
The only sites I've ever had issues are the main network sites, nbc, abc, cartoon network, etc... And anyone who's not an idiot knows not to use those sites anyway. You can't even stream in 320p on them usually. They're high traffic and poorly coded.
You shouldn't have any quality issues on something like youtube, dailymotion, poeTV, porntube, even, let alone the back-woods sites you find HD sports streams on.
I use firstrow and I've never had any issues with stream quality. You have to click through the links to find the best feed, there's usually at least 1 HD feed, and I've used it so much, I can load up any sports event, even UFC, within 30 seconds.

My computer is fine, 1440p display, i7, 16gb of RAM. You just don't know good quality because of your poop internet. 2.5 mbps isn't enough to do anything which is why your poop crashes and why you can't stream those sites. I can stream them with 0 problems in their highest quality.
When did you sign up? 10 years ago? They haven't offered less than 20mbps for years. And since it went to Spectrum the lowest they offer is 60mbps for $45.
If you're fortunate enough to find a YT link sure, but then you're at the mercy of the streamer and still have a lot of dropped frames. I used to use 2 very good sites for streaming that were HD and it can't hold a candle to even the Spectrum TV app, because again, it's some schmuck streaming it. A streaming site can never be as good as a carrier because it's being "copied" at least once before you see it.
It's about the convenience of always having a top notch Sabres broadcast that's not going to get taken down halfway through the game.
