Plug D...how can you justify that...?
- Nuck4U

Gudbranson is not a good hockey player. He can fight, i guess he can be a hype man... but defensively his underlying stats are atrocious. He can basically clear the puck effectively in the defensive zone. His salary wont equate his skills.

okay, so let me see if i can get how this 'no more anti' talk works...

gudbranson would make a very good addition to another team at the tdl because i think his contract demands will be too... optimistic.

i think i got this positivity thing down!

That was a excellent example of positive posting on a top line player within the Canucks organization, much like my positive approach that Stecher will be responsible for allowing the Canucks a higher draft pick next year.

Analytics or the eye test?

Conditioning after a knee injury plus playing dome decent minutes. I still like stecher.

Your lack of a sense of humour is legendary in here, so that doesn't surprise me.

Can we still rant on Subban?
- A_SteamingLombardi

Hold on and I'll check out the policy on Subbans feelings clause.

Ok just checked, and we might have to wait for WhiteLie on that one.

Gudbranson is a very fine gentleman. He demonstrates fine ability in the pugilistic arts. He is a great motivator of men. He elevates the moods of his opponents by offering them opportunities. His statistics are great (6'3" and over 200lbs). When pressed he can fire the puck out of his zone. His salary will provide great incentive for him to improve his play.

Guddy doesn't skate the puck out because he can either look where he's going or look at the puck on his stick not both.

IMO dmen enter their statistical prime late, takes longer to get good. I think he has room to grow, much like Sbisa. What people never gave old Sbisa credit for was just how much better he got in Vancouver. Then we let him go for nothing. Guddy is young and does actually have upside. I think you need to monitor his minutes and give him a solid d partner, but ultimately he could improve. When you hold for competition and zone starts, he's as good as anyone we have to be in the top4.
