If everyone was healhy and this was February, I'd say we have to move 2 wingers.

Goldobin should prolly be playing with the big club and if LE was healthy, he'd need a spot too.

if we trade for prospects, I'd hope they were waiver exempt too.

Just not sure he's ever going to be successful at the NHL-level. Would like to see what he can do under Green but I have a feeling it's going to be underwhelming...hope I'm wrong. Defensively the kid can manage but 6 pts in 77 NHL games...not good.

I will be taking that ferry from Prince Rupert next Friday, going to a course in Victoria for 3 weeks. Not the summer cruise that I have enjoyed several times, but still enjoyable.
Hoping to catch some Royals games while I am there.

This seems to be the plan. They have candidates on the farm and Dahlen may be added to Comets in December. But the timing for prospects in Europe and Gaudette have a window to be brought in post TDL.

You can see why Vanek has the career #'s he does, unlike the Sedins his hands are still there. He's pretty built too, looks like he's around 215-220 pounds. I can see why he scored 25+ goals in his sleep during his prime when he had some speed.

Sedins and vanek is a line i'd feel safe to play against.

My guess is that Benning is going to offer the chance for burning a year of elc too all prospect willing to sign and get in a few games at end of season.
This is great asset management, the team secures the player and the player is now committed to the organization.
No one cares about keeping players on ELC, just get them signed.
